Moses to small for 1st grade

That 40 20 was first class though, his getting better every game, and brooks looked the goods today, took on the line a lot

Great kick, but having to wait for a lumbering Rose to get back was an absolute joke.

He is fine, sure he has to work on things but with the reduction of the interchange those big forwards won't have the same amount of power to run at him. He will have a full off season now in the gym and training - he will be back bigger and better next year.

Does anybody else think that Moses is to small for first grade and not strong enough to defend, we shouldn't expect other players to help Moses defend every tackle coz that just leaves gaps to open and if nobody helps him the opposition just run straight over him just like Dugan did tonight. We should've never let Austin got to Canberra

Moses is a better defender than Austin.

He is 20 for god's sake. He will fill out. I rate Moses highly. Is a gun and will be a champion.

I couldn't be happier with Moses. He has had some poor moments yes, but the combination of being only 20, small, and already having a bad leg injury doesn't help. He is doing a great job in my opinion. I love his toughness, the way he really takes on those backrowers hitting him on the edge. Love his flair and arrogance.

The guy is a keeper. Remember Thurston took a while when he first came in to NRL. Even the guy people want to compare him to in Austin couldn't make it until he was 3 years older than what Moses currently is, and Austin still has as many if not more flaws than Moses.

The miss on Dugan was a bad one but just one of those things that all halves will come up with every now and then. I was more disapointed in Halatau coverage from the inside. He hasn't been that lazy Dene all year but he left Moses posted. Halatau should have been hooked for that but only problem was Lovett would come on.

I think Moses and Brooks may both turn into quality first graders. I think sticking with them is definitely the right idea.

I can't blame Halatau for the miss on Dugan. That is going to happen and Moses needs to bulk up to handle it which I think he will.

I don't blame the actual miss on Halatau, I blame the fact he scored on Halatau though. It's his job to push across in that situation so if there is a miss then he nails the attacker side on straight away. That's a huge part of a backrowers job, actually it's a huge role for everyone to play no matter where u defend. He left a good 10 metre gap on the inside which was really bad play.

Not too small for first grade.
His constant abuse toward a touch judge last night, cost wests tigers a great chance of scoring in the 2nd half. Wests-tigers had the feed for he scrum, about 10 m, from the dragons line on the north eastern side of the field, he was warned to stop it, but kept going and was penalised.

That's not what happened. We should have had the feed and it was obvious but the video ref gave it to Saints and not us and then Moses complained.

No worries, my error. I did hear he ref warn him to stop, and Mitch continued, penalty awarded.
I was probably more annoyed about the easy metres the dragons got from the ensuing penalty, instead of them having to work their way back from 10 m away from their tryline.

Just was not to be wests-tiger night last night.

As for Mitch, he will only get better and his combo with Luke Brooks & Teddy, hopefully will cause the opponents nightmares for years to come.

He'll bulk up in the next couple of years and will be stronger in defense. He's doing okay now IMO.

Brooks however, I don't know if he can bulk up much more and is still a complete turnstyle in defense.

He should have shut his mouth but that was a terrible decision.

I am starting to feel more confident with both Brooks and Moses as well. I think that Brooks, Moses, Tedesco combination could be a great one. Cherrington also looks like a quality player but it will be a step up for him.

I have no problem with him letting loose over that decision. It was a disgrace and I don't blame him for not keeping his cool. It's the part of his personality that makes him good. We need that spunk

Angry little ant, puts his body on the line and has a lot of talent.
Still reminds me of Toovey.
Definite keeper.

Is the difference between experience and immaturity though…. He loses focus... It causes others to lose focus... He needs to learn to zip it
His uncles smart mouth cost him many a time... Hope he doesn't go the same way

I can't argue with that. Your probably right. But boy the fact that decision went upstairs and they still ignored it blew me away and I can see why he couldn't contain himself. He will need to learn to control it though.

I think people are miss reading me a bit i think both are great prospects. However neither are ready for the everyday grind together. if you had an experienced half with either one i think they would do well.

For me its the coaching we need a proper coach to manage and develop this young roster. We currently have an impostor.

I must be watching different games I think Books and in particular Moses have ended the year strongly.

Then they must have improved under the "Imposter"
