Watched Ted last night….pretty dissapointed to be honest. It is nowhere near as funny as you expect it to be. Quite an obvious and boring storyline that you have seen 100 times before. It also contains 100's of 80's references which are pretty lame as well.

There is a couple of laugh out loud moments. For me and the cinema I was in, most of these were in the final 10 minutes. It just wasnt clever humour...there was a lot of people groaning in the cinema I was in. The majority of the films jokes didnt even ellicit any reaction from the audience.

I would rate it 1 star...pretty poor showing.

Hmm, deciding whether to see Ted or the re-boot of Spiderman. May end up seeing Spiderman now.

Oh, and for anyone at home watching DVDs, I highly recommend The Grey with Liam Neeson. It's not a happy film by any stretch of the imagination, but the acting is excellent and the characters are well thought out an portrayed by the supporting cast. Neeson is excellent.

Contraband with Mark Wahlberg isn't a bad flick either.

Heard the new spiderman is disappointing .. Apparently they tried to make it a bit like Christopher Nolan's Batman with the dark story etc ..
Don't you think it's early for a new series of Spiderman movies ? Or is that just me ?

couple of mate trashed Ted, Absolutely hated it and these guys arent that picky

I found the trailer misleading. I was under the impression it would be along the lines of team america…wrong humour that you feel guilty laughing at. What it actually is , is nothing much more than a rom com. Pretty standard fare for comedies these days....

Ted is rly good, can't see the hate to be honest.
In our cinema, we were laughing at parts that no one else seemed to find funny.
One of the funniest movies to come out since The Hangover.

Don't let these guys turn you away if you're wanting to see it, Wahlberg is the man and the movie is good.
Can't wait to see the new Batman.

Early word coming out of the US is that the Dark Knight Rises is excellent and an amazing conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.

I thought it was hilarious. There were a lot of subtle references to Seth McFarlane's other bodies of work that people who aren't fans of may not have got. Horses for for courses I guess.

Watched Contraband the other week, absolutely loved it. Pretty cool how the movie all comes together in the end. Had glimpses of smart humor also for a serious kind of movie. Very enjoyable.

Also watched Safe House with Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington. Not a bad flick either.

Absolutely hanging out for The Dark Knight Rises. Got tickets for this Friday night, and a Batman Begins/The Dark Knight double feature on Wednesday night.

On another note, I loved Ted. I thought it was hilarious, but coming from Seth MacFarlane, I wouldn't expect anything different, in terms of humour.

Anyone caught The Dark Knight Rises yet?

Saw it today and was totally thrilled with it. It is absolutely brilliant. Dont listen to some idiots who are talking it down. They are only playing an agenda.

Make sure you see it on IMAX. It has been made for it and as a spectacle, nothing comes close for mine.

A minimum score for this should be 9/10.

Yes, I must admit even the promos for it didn't appeal to me - lame, vulgar, idiotic crap! I'm mean really, how stupid do they think we all are?

Saw the Dark Knight Rises today also and loved it. Not as dark (no pun intended) as The Dark Knight and it didn't quite hit the same heights emotionally, but it was so well crafted and the main cast all had their moments to shine.

Tom Hardy was always up against it as the main villain given Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker, but as Bane, he's a completely different kettle of fish. I thought he was excellent in the film Warrior and had a decent amount of muscle, but damn he had bulked up for this one and was almost as devious as he was physically powerful.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was very good, as was Anne Hathaway but I thought Christian Bale really stood out this time.

It will be interesting to see if this gives the Avengers a run for its money at the box office.

Next film I'm off to see will be the new Bourne film with Jeremy Renner.

I reckon it is unfair when people compare Bane to The Joker.

Joker was an unstable, psychopathic, nutcase whereas Bane was more real. You could see where he was coming from to a point and one scene with him almost made you feel sorry for him. That said he was as menacing as hell. I agree Willow, Hathaway and Gorden-Levitt were excellent but it was Bale who was the standout for me. He owned this movie just as he did in Batman Begins.

Without giving it away, what did you think of the ending?
