MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Moeroa would be first back rower picked if he was with us in 2018.

If they were going to release forwards they would be looking at Beau Scott, Kenny Edwards or Peni Terepo. They would not be looking at Ma'u, Moeroa or Brown.

Ok, Forget Beau Scott. I would rather sign the young forwards from the Bulldogs like Graham or Eastwood :brick:

Likewise Kenny Edwards is a no, there is worse in the league but we don't need him.

Its Peni Terepo or one of the other three that they won't be releasing.

If they need to free up a chunk of cap space, they'll need to release someone on decent coin, not a squaddie…

Eels already tried to get Tigers to take Beau Scott and offered to pay a big chunk of his freight.

He's backended on 1mill next season.

Luckily Tigers didn't go through with it, he's busted.

There was plenty of talk this week that Penrith might rush Moylan back into the side for this weekends game .. however after building his hopes up again, they have left him out the squad for this weekend .. which has really got under Moylan skin and messed with his head even more .. !! Don't be surprised if this kid walks, more sooner than later .. !!

Hopefully Ivan is ready standing at the front of the Bus to hand him his ticket .. !!

Ray has kicked on since leaving.
Just heard Nathan Cleary talking on the ABC about Moylan.
He said they hope to have him back but his health comes first . He spoke well. Gave nothing away.

I heard Kenny Edwards was spotted at Leichhardt hope we don't sign him

I read somewhere that he was just there to watch a junior grand final.

Kenny Edwards is a top-tier loose cannon, brain-explosion candidate. No thanks.

You mean like Nathan Brown was for us before he left and real coaches sorted him out

Dont know how it works, but I read somewhere last night, that there is a way to still get him in the weekends team, even if he's not named yet

They could seek an exemption but the NRL wouldn't allow it as it would upset their corporate bookie partners.

He was crap at Souths too. Or do they also not have real coaches?

They could definitely use him. Edwards looked underdone at fullback and Cleary was screaming for someone to help him out and May didn't pose much of a threat in attack. Penrith are a better side with Moylan there.

I hope he does walk. Ivan couldno doubt get the best out of him.

You do realise that Nathan Brown is at the very club we speak of? So whatever the "real coaches" at Parra did for Nathan, they aren't doing it for Kenny.

7th Tackle: The club firming for Moylan's signature

Matt Moylan has a club of preference should he not resolve his issues at Penrith.

The Panthers skipper has told close mates he’d be most keen on joining Manly, where old assistant coach Trent Barrett awaits.

We told you last week about all the factors in Cronulla’s favour – and make no mistake – the Sharks are willing to offer James Maloney as a straight-out swap.

While Moylan would no doubt like to re-unite with a host of former Panthers in the Shire, he is closest to Barrett.

Remarkably, the Sea Eagles coach picked up the phone and offered condolence to Moylan when he was dropped for breaching team protocol in April.

Manly also ticks Moylan’s desire to live closer to the beach.

It’s understood eight clubs have expressed interest in his signature, including believe it or not – the Bulldogs.

None too impressed about his current absence from Penrith being presented as a mental issue, Moylan is giving them close consideration.

At the same time, Panthers officials haven’t been impressed by his application to injury rehab and recovery.

Brown always had the talent. Unfortunately the coach we had at the time appeared not to be able to see it. Cleary obviously has that ability to recognise a player's talent and bring out the best in him.

I doubt Manly could afford him without going over the cap. DCE is on massive money, so would be their fullback Tommy T, so where would Moylan fit in? 5/8? A team can't afford three big names in their spine unless they're rubbish (like the Warriors) or they're cheating (Storm).

Not even Roosters or Broncos could get three big names in their spine (though they get 2 1/2 alright).

Maybe if Moylan took a little bit less $ he could fit in, but wasn't this whole drama rumoured to be about $$?
