My letter to Stephen Humphreys

I've emailed Humphreys twice, once negative and the other positive. He replied both times.

Twice for me too..both after foor form, to his credit he replied the first time but not last weeks….he'll get one more email from me this year when we officially bow out of the semis and boy will he cop it between the eyes in the next one..**.I have much more to offer him than torn up membership tickets.....**

And you wonder why he doesn't reply, when you put up passive-aggressive tripe like this on a public forum!

Do yourself a favour (emotionally) and let it go.

Either that or when we do sweep into the grand final in illustrious style, post the email of glowing praise that you will send Humpheries instead, saying that in the end he made the right choices….. or won't you send one of those?

Everyone is owed something by the team and its players. We are owed for the money we invest, we are owed for the emotion we put into supporting, we are owed because we have supported the team for so many years…....

What does your employer owe you? What do you give back as an employee? How many would say they turn up just to earn their paypacket and go home to enjoy the weekend with their family.

So would it surprise you if you discovered that some of the coaching staff or players or administration felt this way too? Do they do it because it is a 100 year old club? I doubt it, they do it for their cash and their mates.

No-one wants to lose as surely it feels better to earn your cash whilst winning. It doesn't take much to derail a season and we have had our fair share of adversity. I agree coaches questionable selections probably have not helped that but I don't think he selects the team that he thinks will best satisfy the supporters.

The players have to want to win for themselves, because it is more fun to earn money and hang with your mates when you are winning. I am sure there is so much more going on behind the scenes then worrying whether a disgruntled member is going to tear up their tickets.

Yes good point you make there Tigersmurf,in that some people just turn up for work for the pay check and dont really put in and are waiting for the weekend…. However what you failed to also mention is that us normal folk dont earn 500k plus to go to work 26 times of the year and just go with the flow hopeing that they win. So weather they are winning or losing they will still get there 500k at the end of the year, now if i performed as piss poor as our mob over this year i no my boss would be saying your FIRED

Great point Mafia, just trying to look at it from a different perspective. I agree that for the money some of them are on they should be performing a lot better. If they are stale or complacent then change is needed.

I just thought "I wonder what it is like to be on the other side of the fence and be inside camp Concord."

Add players that are busted and needled that front up to play. It is hard to look "enthusiastic" when you are busted regardless of how much coin you are on.

Its the behind the scene issues that we on the forum do not appreciate.

Its easy to say replace the busted players with others but then there are issues with salary cap breaches for using too many players.

The teams doing well thie year, like every year, are the ones with the healthiest rosters. Thats fact. Those denying this fact should research the history of NRL winners and grand finalist and they will realise the teams playing in October are ALWAYS the 2 healthiest teams.

i think it was watto that said hes mate was a ceo and he use to get 1000s of fans writing letters whining after losses and 200 hundred positives after a win.. 200 hundred after wins i reckon it would have been 200 of the 100os that wrote the whinging letters after a loss.haha

Gee doesnt that sound how things work on here.

Im a paying member and very happy with both Sheens and Hunphreys.
People forget that they trained the whole pre-season with Teddy to play fullback. After Teddys in injury it took five games to get used to a new decent structure which took them to a winning streak. Now, with more injuries, its back to struggle street and back to another re-structure. The season is on the line now and they know its do or die, im sure they'll give it their best crack - win or lose.
Id be dissapointed if Humphreys wasted his time replying whingey emails all day every day, instead of being productive for the club and the team. Get over it.

Teddy is a 19 year old kid who has played 30 minutes or so in first grade , im getting tired of reading about Teddy ,if he stayed fit would we be in the top 8 ? nobody knows Teddy is unknown at top level and he dosent deserve all the accolades this early in his career . W esign anybody regadless of what he has done and some in here have them penned in as captain and walk up starter .
Im not accepting the mediocre crap the club expects us to accept .baaaaaaaaaaaaaa

you miss the point completely. I agree with you about Teddy as I for one am not sold that he is our answer at fullback. The point is - The team trained the whole pre-season with Tedesco at fullback and Moltzen at half back. After round 1, the team had to train in with a different 1 and 7\. After 5 weeks training and losing, they started winning… fullstop.

For those that still can't understand - the Team trained the whole preseason with a spine (1,6,7,9). That spine lasted 30mins.

You dont think maybe they coulve wouldve mixed it up a bit just in case, you know…in case an injury....the occupational hazard of rugby league - occurred?

Get real....there are always contingencies in place.....its why you have a squad of 25, to say they went in expecting the spine to be the same spine uninterrupted for the season is rather hopefull at best.

But the way the club within the club works at Concord....Mr utility/ back up player (A) (B) & (C) may well have had to introduce themselves to the rest of the boys after round 1

I have a lot of faith in Teddy, but surely we had a back up plan if he had problems making the transition from NYC to NRL. From memory Humble and possibly Reddy were also trialing at fullback until Sheens made the call on Tedesco prior to the start of the season

My letter to Mr Humphries is my season ticket package with return to sender.
