Time to make a final call on a few players:

1. Josh Reynolds - over paid and offers nothing apart from "energy", which is often counter productive. He has been a waste of a marquee salary. Madge should tell him straight that he will never see first grade again and for his own career should move on.
2. Brooks - Time to shift him to 5/8 and allow him to run..Bring Jock Madden in to be our long term 7.
3.Mbye - he is not captain material. I've never seen him show ANY leadership on the field. Time to cut him loose after this year, we have Momo and Talau who are cheaper and better centres.
4. Cut the dead wood: - Elijah Taylor, Chris Lawrence, MCK, Packer.Together with McQueen and Mbye thats at least $2.1 m in cap where we can buy a good speedster who can kick goals (Hello Jamaine Isaako) + a hard hitting prop and have money left over for upgrades.
5. Benji - this should be his last year, we need to move on in the halves with a total overhaul - see #2..


Time to give the up and comers more game time such as Blore, Simpkins and Hoffman. We will be lucky to make the 8 this year, for some reason we love being 9th

In all honesty, making 9th will be a overachievement this year. We have not got the cattle all over the park but despite that, Maguire has improved our attitude to defense. Our losses just wont be as bad as previous years.

I think I was one of the first to say Doueihi isn’t a fullback and would be much better suited at centre as he defs deserves to be somewhere starting that’s for sure

However, I’m able to allow him the time to try and reinvent himself and make that fullback position his tbh - he does seem to be getting better as each week comes by and you never know he may add some pace on him with some sprinting coaches

But we should 100% be at least scouting some specialist fullbacks who have that pace and X factor - someone with the ability to create plays and score points imo

His only issue is that he’s slow. He’s got good ball playing, good defence and good hands. We can’t expect him to run the length of the field, if he’s gonna score it’ll be close to the line using hi strength.

If we sign a good fullback happy to move him to 5/8 but that’s only if it’s a quality consistent fullback, not worth moving him there for a dud

I think I was one of the first to say Doueihi isn’t a fullback and would be much better suited at centre as he defs deserves to be somewhere starting that’s for sure

Imo you just described the perfect centre - good defence, good hands and his strength close to the line

I feel like fullback is a position which needs some pace and X factor there’s a reason all the top teams have this

Papenhyzen, Tedesco, Gutherson, Ponga and Turbo (manly with a full team are a top 4 side imo)

His other qualities more than make up for his lack of pace. He’s an excellent fullback.
