My team for Round 10 vs Broncos

I think I was one of the first to say Doueihi isn’t a fullback and would be much better suited at centre as he defs deserves to be somewhere starting that’s for sure

However, I’m able to allow him the time to try and reinvent himself and make that fullback position his tbh - he does seem to be getting better as each week comes by and you never know he may add some pace on him with some sprinting coaches

But we should 100% be at least scouting some specialist fullbacks who have that pace and X factor - someone with the ability to create plays and score points imo

His only issue is that he’s slow. He’s got good ball playing, good defence and good hands. We can’t expect him to run the length of the field, if he’s gonna score it’ll be close to the line using hi strength.

If we sign a good fullback happy to move him to 5/8 but that’s only if it’s a quality consistent fullback, not worth moving him there for a dud

Imo you just described the perfect centre - good defence, good hands and his strength close to the line

I feel like fullback is a position which needs some pace and X factor there’s a reason all the top teams have this

Papenhyzen, Tedesco, Gutherson, Ponga and Turbo (manly with a full team are a top 4 side imo)

Like I said if we can sign a top level fullback I have no issue moving Adam but he’s still doing a pretty good job at the back for us. He will most likely stay there for a while too

Benji will be wearing the 6 for sure and probably for the rest of the season. Big question is whether they drop brooks or not.

Honestly I don’t see it happening. He was poor and has offered little in attack this year but don’t see Walters picked over him.

Brooks won’t be dropped but I’d like to see Benji and Brooks swap, Benji to 7 Brooks to 6. Brooks needs a wake up call.

Also if not Twal, then I’d like to see Benji sole captain for the rest of the year.

Garner needs a rocket, he's nowhere near the player he was last year, gone backwards.

However who is the replacement, all well and good saying no but I want to know who gets the yes.

Beg to differ, that is not an upgrade on AD.

AD is worth the investment. Very safe, big body doesn’t get driven back like every fullback we have had for years. Safe hands, can pass, kick and kick goals. With his long frame, he looks a lot in running style to Stephen Larkham who developed deceptive pace in his career, ghosting through defensive lines. I think AD can develop the same with work. Hope the coaching team are planning to work on it.

I thought Brooks looked much better when Benji came on the other night. Could be that he felt he could play with a bit more freedom. We did have some better field position and no doubt that contributed as well but I have always felt that he is at his best when he can run and not worry so much about others around him.

AD is our best fullback and probably our best 5/8. At 6 he could have the simple game plan of run hard like a 2nd rower or give early ball out wide.

The spine is missing a good support player, we make a lot of breaks and half breaks but there is no one there to take advantage. Look what a difference Tedesco's support play makes for the Roosters or Gutherson's makes for Parra.

When the Bulldogs won a grand final their forwards were actually playing as halves. In SOO most of the players have the skills of a half.

I think a move for Nofoaluma to fb would be equal to when B Ryan played there a few years ago. I was never a fan of it but it worked (short term)
