Im guessing parra could be an option for him. Pretty sure the nrl were not going to register faoaso's contract

Could Gold Coast be a possibility with all the crap going on up there at the moment???

A mate of mine was at training last year and a Ref came down to help the team with some tackle/wrestle interpretations and what constituted a penalty and what didn't. Brown gave away the same penalty 4 times. I had concerns with him kicking on as a regular NRL player after hearing that.

Seems that WT have finally offloaded one of the half dozen or so fringe players that they started shopping around at the end of last season.

Good luck to him elsewhere, but no great loss for mine, rather opening a spot in our twenty five and a few dollars that can be better spent.

I like the bloke. Very rough around the edges. I don't know if he can crack first grade yet.
But he knows Brooks and Moses playing style and links up very well with them.
Maybe he's just a traditional forward it needs a bit of time for some maturity.

Once wests-tigers confirm that Nathan is no longer at the club, that's when I will believe it.
For all we know, his team mates are playing practical jokes by posting stuff on social media.

Is this confirmed anywhere and who are the other fringe players referred to above???

Not confirmed as far as I know but have heard he's gone to Souths…doesn't make much sense to me as he would be as far down the pecking order there as he was here...

The other players at the end where Buchanan Rowe Moltz and Brown...

There is quite a few in front of him at the Tigers for Props though , Woods , Galloway , Taupau ,Lodge , Ava , Buchanan.
So all in all good decision if it benefits us in other areas (Salary Cap).
Brown is at an age where he needs the opportunity if his not going to get it at the Tigers ? best for all parties concerned .
Wish him the best of luck if true ?

how many more have to leave before we get under the cap, this has now reached bullshit status. dont rate brown that much but we cannot keep losing players without signing some one better, just makes no sense. starting too wonder what the hell JT is doing.

Who said we released him for cap reasons?

I'm with you bp, JT is ruining our club, the world is ending and the sky is falling.

REPENT! REPENT NOW!!!!

It would be nice to hear something from the club…anything...rather than hearing from social media then souths

Wests Tigers have today announced that Nathan Brown has been granted an immediate release from his contract.

Brown played one NRL game for the Wests Tigers in Round 24 of the 2013 season and spent last year with the NSW Cup team after graduating from the Holden Cup competition.

The 21-year-old prop forward was part of the premiership-winning Under 20s side in 2012.

Wests Tigers Head Coach Jason Taylor thanked Brown for his efforts while at the Club and wished him well in the future.

“On behalf of everyone at the Club I would like to thank Nathan for his commitment during his time at Wests Tigers,” Taylor said.

“I wish him all the best in the next stage of his rugby league career.”

“Looking at our current squad, I believe we have good depth in the front-row, with a number of quality options including current internationals Aaron Woods and Martin Taupau.

“The Club has granted Nathan the chance to take up an opportunity to play first grade elsewhere and we wish him good luck in the future.”

does it really matter why , other than he done something really bad. we cannot keep dumping players and not replace them with some one better or with some experince. the cupboard is bare, and u can all come out with we have good juniors but they need some old heads to lead them and we have very few left.

On the TIgers website just in
