Getting a bit tired of this "if you don't like it, go follow someone else."

Maybe people have valid points, maybe people care about the future of the Tigers.

They are voicing opinions and deserve better than - "Go follow someone else"

Mikes points aren't valid... That's who my posts directed at.

They either havent yet happened, are fabricated... They're just not correct and also made up

Except they are not made up at all. History has shown us who's territory Liverpool is, and it is the Bulldogs. Also don't forget the Bulldogs wanted to take over the Western Suburbs Magpies, not merge. If you don't think that this is still on the agenda for the Wests Tigers then you are just plain wrong. Wests Tigers are currently in a very weak position politically, having never been in the finals for 11 years, they are viewed as an option the merge/relocate by many. Liverpool would be a disaster and the beginning of the end of the franchise.

Enjoy your creative writing, this is boring me

Then put me on foe and don’t read it.

Your arguments are getting worse @mike

No, I just see how this will play out.

You are an intelligent guy @mike, I'm happy for you to disagree with me, but some of your arguments trying to justify what you want are rubbish. To seriously suggest that geographical ties are superseded when every single NRL side is tied deeply to their geographical area is really poor argument and you know it. I am happy for you to prefer the SFS, but stop trying to make this that you are the smartest person in the room so your ideas are correct.

It is OK to just prefer the SFS, even if its because it is easier for you. No need for fantasy.

Not fantasy but reality. If you can’t see it because you live in the area that’s fine. Just for the record my preferred locations:

Homebush/Lidcombe (Redeveloped or new)
SFS
CSS (redeveloped)

I would attend all games at any of these venues. Given the likelihood of what will be available as a modern, 21st century stadium, SFS it is.

All good mate, I always use a little hyperbole when arguing with you, you seem to bring it out in me mate.

I don't live in Liverpool though and have zero connection to the area.

We are a relocation risk, so why move outside our area? Why be a club that represents the Western Suburbs playing in the Eastern Suburbs? You arguments are illogical.

Get over the it’s in the Eastern Suburbs crap, it’s not at Bondi Beach. It’s on the outskirts of the Sydney CBD in an specifically designed sporting and entertainment precinct that has 10s of thousands of people through the venues every week (excluding Covid restrictions). It’s within a reasonable distance from Wests Tigers HQ at Concord, Wests Ashfield and whatever is built on Victoria Rd at Balmain. Playing at this ground will only attract supporters and ***the right kind of media.***

Wests Tigers getting the right kind of media. . . . . . . . . I'd like to see that.

We don’t get it because we are incompetent and generally make poor decisions. Playing out of the SFS would not be a poor decision.

I'm not strictly against your argument on the location of Liverpool being relevant to our supporter base, but I disagree with these references to "Western Surburbs" and "Eastern Suburbs". "Western Suburbs" is a 100-year old label from the days when the city petered out at Strathfield. Tigers share part of the West with 4 other clubs, and if anything we are more Inner and South West.

The SFS is as Central to the CBD as any major stadium in the city, and the fact that it's slightly on the Eastern side of the CBD is irrelevant. It's as equally South of the CBD and in fact Souths District Football Club HQ is closer to SFS than Eastern Suburbs Leagues is.

A better argument would be that SFS is not central to our main supporter base, rather than it being representative of some Eastern Suburbs fortress (if this is indeed true, I can't say). SFS was always built as a neutral multi-club venue, at one time the central home of rugby league, and by this same reasoning Olympic Stadium is not representative of Balmain even though it falls on the edge of the Balmain football district.

You might need to read on lol

Yeah I just did hey - the problem of having something to say immediately.

Doesn't sound like you mate lol

Maybe people have valid points, maybe people care about the future of the Tigers.

They are voicing opinions and deserve better than - "Go follow someone else"

Disappointed in your statement although you are not the first to voice it.

Yes I know - I should go and follow someone else!

30k outdoor arena planned for Liverpool by the council ?

Plans only, no money. It would be a disaster. Of all the time I have been alive I have never thought for one second that Liverpool is home to the Wests Tigers, Western Suburbs Magpies or the Balmain Tigers. It’s a rubbish idea.

If you look at the train map Liverpool makes the most sense. It's accessible from Macarthur and inner west.

Being located next to a cbd with bars, restaurants, entertainment and business makes sense also.

Liverpool is the most strategic location for Wests Tigers. But just need to get in there and own it before Liverpool.

Your funny. It’s a dead zone, not going anywhere. The worst place for a Wests Tigers home ground. It would see the end of the franchise.

Maybe if people refuse to go there because it isn't their preferred option.

Maybe it’s because it’s Bulldogs territory or maybe because it’s just in the middle of nowhere. You think the Tigers are made fun of now in the media, Move them to Liverpool and it will be relentless mocking. The joke of the League. Never ever will Liverpool be home to the Tigers. The Media knows it, the NRL knows it. Only the few that live close by want it there. It will be the beginning of the end for the Tigers. Enjoy watching games with the crickets as the fan base slowly dissolves before your eyes.

You really are just arguing what is convenient for you not what is best for the team though.

You don't see the jokes coming about a team claiming to represent the Western Suburbs playing in the Eastern Suburbs? I couldn't think of a better way to set yourself up for relocation to be honest.

Liverpool is in no way best for the team. You are kiddding yourself if you think it is. If you want to be successful you go where the money is and it's not Liverpool.

So, you're a social demographer? Man, what talents you have!! I'm surprised you have so much time to enlighten us on topics as such as this .... or any other topic for that matter.

Just go here or Bankwest. Let's pretend we're gonna try competing.

Yes - I agree we need to go somewhere with modern facilities, otherwise it suggests we are a second rate club. Geographically it would be better to upgrade Campbelltown and play all our games here. In reality this is not going to happen and Wests Campbelltown Leagues Club don't seem overly interested in the football team's future? SFS or the revamped ANZ for me, but please, ONE home ground.

ANZ isn't being revamped

it will be engineers have been looking at it already and getting it ready for women's soccer world cup along with big screen etc

Are they making it rectangular and replacing the lower bowl?

no not replacing the lower bowl from what I have seen but making it rectangular

But Moore Park is.

It’s closer to Wests Tigers HQ, Wests Ashfield & any Tigers club that gets developed in Balmain. So yeah.

Its a pretty poor argument that you have never thought of Liverpool as home to Wests Tigers when it is in our catchment but want to play at a stadium outside our area.

Walking past the Giant Roosters logo after losing a home game at Moore Park is a thrill

I suppose sitting on blue and white seats in the Mortimer/ Lamb grandstand in Liverpool is more to many’s liking !

Also having a schooner in the Peter Bullfrog Moore Bar will be fun

At least we will be in Tigers territory, not squatting in Roosters home.

Liverpool is a rubbish choice, weak leadership yet again if it’s true.

20 years to decide on a location that literally pleases no one except the apologists is pathetic

As a Balmain Tigers/Wests Tigers fan of 55 years, a member of 19 years, and a proud resident of Liverpool for the last 35+ years, what the hell gives you the right to pronounce that a potential WT stadium at Liverpool "pleases no one except the apologists"?

Your supreme arrogance is only matched by your ignorance.

it's an opinion just like yours, a straw poll of one. get over it

1st step .. ditch Tamworth then we'll talk

Short sighted comments like this are the reason this club is a basket case.

If they cut ties with the lucrative New England region, it will leave it open for the Bulldogs or East Tamworth Echidna's to swoop in and pick up all the Juniors.
