NFL

Love being a 49ers fan right now, massive 45-3 win over the Bills! Who's gonna win it this year guys? I'm going with the 49ers to win the NFC, not just cause I'm a fan, there solid all over the park and finally have an offence, and I think Matt Ryan and his falcons will choke, and I still gotta go with the Pats for the AFC, if any one else than the Chargers but they really gotta get the running game going more!

Agree with Chris- being a Steeler fan at the moment is tough. The Defense finally came to the party yesterday, but an overhaul is due. Ben R is playing elite right now though.

Ben has been awesome so far this year. He hasn't been sacked much this year which tells me our offensive line has improved on last year. His big 3rd down plays have been huge but I wish Wallace and Brown would catch more of his throws. Browns TD drop nearly killed me yesterday.

Every NFC East division contest is the most entertaining game the week it happens

Not wrong Smeg. I'm devastated right now. Dallas should've been buried at 23-0 but their defense was tough, kept Eli at bay till the 4th qtr. Thought they ran out of steam in the end. However, you can't do turnovers like we did turnovers and expect to win. We came mighty close though.

I was tracking score updates at work. Very exciting finish. Seems like the Giants offence never really clicked, yet the came away with the win.

Anyway… I was happy to see the Giants get up. People might call me a bandwagoner, but I went to a game last November when they were 6-6 (was on holidays and picked the game at random) and then followed them from Aus all the way to the superbowl. For the price we payed for tickets, I figure I am entitled to call myself Giants life member!!

Cheers guys/gals, might keep an eye on this thread as I get into it more. Its a shame there are so few games on Foxtel each week. I know about gamepass, but a bit expensive right now.

They lack a really clutch receiver. Guys like Bryant, Ogletree etc seem to get really muddied on routes and make it a very hard target for Romo. Romo has issues but a LB intercept is easier for the defence when the receivers dont get their s$%t together.

Exciting game, quality week, Eagles remind me of WT in that there will be a big shakeup headed for a stale organisation very soon and that is good but depressing

Yep, our most dependable receiver is a tight end. Not saying much. Austin is probably a cog or two below being the guy. Bryant may get there one day but not soon. Ogletree just dosn't cut it for a number 3 receiver, so he's no chance.

Vick's days seem numbered now at Philly. Talk today is he may be replaced very shortly. Although the question is, as much as Vick can hurt/save Philly, does Foles warrant the gig or are they changing because they need change??

He played well in preseason, but that is preseason. That and the O Line is in tatters. Jason Peters out for the season was huge and Foles is likely to get killed

As big of a fan i am, Vick isn't the answer for the Eagles. He's a clear level below guys like the Mannings and Brady

I would be keen to try out Mark Sanchez, he does not fit with he Jets system at all and he will be out of there next year with the NY guys paying some of the fare, I think Foles needs a lot more than he has currently.

But it is all what if's with a new class of high quality QB's hitting the draft out of College next year which means the trade and FA markets could hold some suprises

I went to the texans vs ravens game last week and It was the greatest sporting event I have ever been to . We got there early and joined in the tailgate parties which is a highlight in itself . They kept the roof on the stadium and it was fully air conditioned , but the atmosphere was mind blowing . I really believe the big wigs at the NRL and administrators at clubs should go over and see how they may be able to change things at clubs . I know cash has a lot to do with it but surely they can work something out . I'm pumped and love it more than before I'm a colts fan but after that game have also adopted the texans

Really enjoyed the Dolphins v SeaHawks game this morning

Two rookie QB's going toe to toe Fantastic kick return 98 metres by Leon Wasihngton equalling the all time record (8)

Helps when Dolphins win

What are your thoughts on Jake Long from the Dolphins ,do we keep him or not ??

Still in shock watching the College games today after the terrible news that Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Joven Belcher committed suicide in the car park of the Chiefs training facility. He did so by shooting himself in the head in front of head coach Romeo Crennel and GM Scott Pioli.

His girlfriend was also found dead at another scene

He actually gave an interview just before Thanksgiving with the Chiefs version of Cuzzo of how he was looking forward to taking a turkey to his mothers and they were commenting how quickly he was career had taken off

It makes you wonder , what massive thing happened in his life in such a short period of time for this to happen ??

Very ,very sad RIP

The tragedy in that whole situation is that his little girl will now grow up without her mum and dad.
