There will calls of bias if they are doing well on the field. Is it not a conflict of interest that the NRL will own a team in there own comp? even though they will probably sell them once they are successful and established. Not sure what the value of exisiting NRL franchises would be these days.
I think now it's about coverage and increased revenue from TV rights. Is quality going to be an issue time will tell.I think even 17 is too many
No drop bears over there? It's a shame that they have to be the bears. They have no relevance to Perth.
Yes, Super League is going to be raided. That comp is in big trouble when NRL clubs come after their best. There's going to be a lot of players returning from the ESL in the next couple of years I expect.
Will be attractive to poms due to large expat population there Sowf Affrikins too.Yes, Super League is going to be raided. That comp is in big trouble when NRL clubs come after their best.

Billy moore said sth African rugby will be a targetAt what point, can the NRL start to attract union players from around the world.
It’ll have to be done in chunks 2/3 games at a time .Good luck to the Bears as they deserve their chance after the Northern Eagles debacle.
The tyranny of distance will be their greatest challenge- every second week travelling to Sydney ,Brisbane and or Brisbane will be draining.
That is, of course they play all home games in Perth.
Winning public support with the popularity of the Western Eagles and Freeo will also be a chaleenge.
Nice. Cant wait to get to games regularly![]()

Yep ! When Matt seers made that break to “win” the game against Newcastle to send them into the grand final in 97 . I was screaming Go into my 30 inch tv as much as a tigers game .Bears were most people's second or third team
for me as a balmain fan it was always magpies bears and Steelers as my second team
