Norths Story in Daily Telegraph

My opinion, this is such a good read. I honestly forgot how good this team was. Spend some time and reminisce about how good league was back in the day.

Would have preferred Norths had survived over Manly or Souths

Andrew Willis Field Goal 96 Hell Yeah

I agree. That team had some buzz about it, and north sydney oval is just beautiful. Same it is under-used

More beautiful than Leichhardt in my opinion

If they play league in heaven it is played at North Sydney Oval

They were usually a pretty crap team....hmmm

they were great through the 90s no two ways

Forwards of Billy Moore, Fairleigh, Gary Larson, and Florimo in the backs. Even WT affiliates Kelly Egan and Jason Taylor.

Played on it in the 1960s. Along with Pratten Park at Ashfield it was the hardest ground I played on. Both had cricket pitches in the middle and by wid-Winter it was like playing on concrete. The other problem with NSO was the sideline was totally misaligned with the old grandstand and you'd run over the sideline without realising it. One time our winger thought he'd scored in the corner only to find out he was 20 metres over the sideline.

Visually a pretty ground, but terrible oval to watch footy at because of the angle. And for those who complain about parking at Leichardt, Nth Sydney horrendous.

Halligan, Dallas, Seers.....
Morrison cough cough

Matt Seers, Brett Dallas, they had a gun team. Shame they're out of the comp. Always had a soft spot for the Bears. NSO one of the best

Ha! You must be a bit older. I played on it in 80’s. A few times. I used to kick out of dummy half - never knew where I was. Running towards centre field was not popular!!
