I saw one of these final's at the SCG. McGrath and Hayden seemed to have a real dislike for each other. They got very vocal a few times.

It was 50 years ago this week that the Socceroos left Sydney for Jakarta to begin their journey to the 1974 FIFA World Cup in West Germany.
There were only 16 teams who played in the 1974 World Cup. 16: let that sink in.
And the convoluted way they had to qualify.
Heroes, every one of them.
And Jim Fraser, who had kept goal in every qualifier, couldn't travel to West Germany because he couldn't get time off work.
