Wow , I know they not fans or WT , but not oh boy they are really hammering the club

On Bj... if you can’t make it WT you can’t make it anyway

Before James and benji go on . Ikin says we ask what benji feels how WT going after they sacked him. He was not sacked , just wasn’t re-signed

Anything we are copping at the moment is welled earned .....we are an abortion based on the 1st 2 games

Well considering it was Brooks 150th game as fans of the WT we have been waiting for him to step up, his kicking game was not great, we were playing at home should know the ground and conditions.

Think the fans have lost patience with him, he will remain this season but don't be surprised that he is shopped around in 2022, know there keen on Hastings.

WT need to bite the bullet and go and get someone who can bring a cultural shift, whatever the cost. Not Hastings.

Who then ?

Adam Reynolds!!!!

Doubt Reynolds will leave Souff's but in any case I think Wests Tigers have learnt their lesson in paying big money a million plus to get a player at the back end of his career..

Well I’m outta ideas then.

Let’s say sorry to Benji, give him a 5 year deal to mentor some poor schmo who is hopeless. Oh wait...

Him or someone like him, someone with the cahones to look his teammates in the eye and tell them they’re not cutting the mustard.

I am happy for the journos to have a go at WT at this point but seriously they do it all wrong..They all have such short memories.

1. The most common thing you hear is we let Teddy/Moses/Paps/JAC go. We didn't let them go, they chose to leave because we weren't winning. Paps went coz he had Teddy in front. Moses threw away games so he could be let go. JAC I can cop because we definitely made a mistake. Benji seems to go OK at Rabbitohs but he would've been useless for us here. Happy he got a chance there.

2. Signing dud people- we tried to go after JAC, Latrell, Cotric, Nathan Cleary etc but they didn't come. Mbye/Packer/Reynolds were the signings of Ivan Cleary

3. Ivan Cleary/Aloiai/Matterson- left mid-contract. Not enough is said about this. IC made those signings then jumped ship. Can't believe he is never asked about this in the media still.

We deserve to be blasted by the journos for sure but we were victims^ of the above, not the party at fault..

Not many of them really is there, throw the house at Bellamy in a GM type role. Look at the Titans model with Meninga. It’s gotta be a game changer.

Pay Cammy 2 million to come out of retirement ?

Nah, couldn’t see that attracting the players we need. And as good as he is, he’s on very old pins.

Edit: Maybe someone like Brad Fittler who is well respected and connected in the sport. I think a kid sitting down with Freddy is more likely to sign with us than the current conglomerate. He would have links to origin and does lots in the community, he’s a pillar. That’s the kind of change we need. How much does he want?

Definitely not

All the more for us to continue to back Madge.

If he leaves soon then we would truly be the league laughing stock.

Madge has the fire, drive to stop us being the rabble that we have been for decades.

I can see us being a hard working successful club with Madge at the helm but were still a few difficult years off.

The player list needs to and will improve.

Stick solid.

Kents comments were putrid and the club should go after him I don’t know if there is grounds for defamation because his words are definitely damaging and untrue.

How’s a anyone Or more concerning your kid at school going to enjoy backing their club with comments like that.

‘Doesn’t bother me’: Benji’s brutal answer as worrying Tigers issues are laid bare

Benji Marshall has well and truly put his time at the Wests Tigers behind him.
The 36-year-old — who played 257 games over two stints with the Tigers — was asked on NRL 360 about how he feels watching his old club struggle so early in the season.

Marshall was brutally honest as he batted away the question.

“My interest in what they were stopped about in October when they let me go,” he said.

“I was focused on what I was going to do next. I don’t take too much interest into what they’re doing, it doesn’t affect me like it used to when I was there.

“I’m fully invested in Souths. What they’re doing at the moment doesn’t bother me. When I was there it did, but not now.”

Marshall was shown the door at the end of last season by coach Michael Maguire. His axing was particularly harsh given he discovered he was on the outer through news reports, despite going down in history as one of the Wests Tigers’ greatest.

The Tigers have had back-to-back losses this year, which Marshall did eventually touch on.

“We can talk about them that’s fine,” he said.

“They haven’t been up to scratch. They’ve had two pretty tough games, you have to take into account they played Canberra and the Roosters — two top four teams. Did you expect them to win any of those games?”

NRL 360 host Ben Ikin responded to Marshall, pointing out that it’s not the fact that the Tigers have lost their first two games which is most concerning, it’s the lack of improvement.

“I expected them to better,” he said.

“It’s not always about wins and losses, what you want to see if you’re trying to build to something better that there are indicators in the performance that suggest you are moving forward.

“There was nothing about that game (against the Roosters) that suggest the Tigers are better than they were last year.”

Former Bulldogs and Dragons forward James Graham believes the Tigers’ defence is a real sticking point in the team’s troubles.

“They don’t like look like they’re a Michael Maguire side at the moment,” he said.

“Going back to when he started at Wigan (in the Super League), he had a real impact there and that was built on defence... he comes to Souths and you see a noticeable difference in how they’re playing defensively and he’s just not having that impact with the playing group at the moment.

“All his teams always looked so well-drilled. You knew exactly what you were going to get with them in terms of their defensive structure.

“If you came up with a play that beat that, they seemed to be happy enough to go ‘you got us there but we’re going to stick to your guns on this.’

“At the minute they look like they almost don’t really have any structure.”

Graham went on to say Maguire has a huge task ahead of him and he has to figure out the right approach to get his team firing.

“Maguire’s possibly got one of the biggest tests of his coaching career. Does he put the pedal down more or does he lay off?”

Marshall — who spent two seasons under Maguire — gave his take on what the under pressure coach should do next.

“He’s put the pedal down before and that didn’t go very well so maybe he has to go the other way.”

Maguire made a couple of changes for Sunday’s clash with the Knights. The most important one being dropping centre Joey Leilua to reserve grade after a pretty poor performance last week.

Pretty sure Terry Lamb was a pillar as well . How well did that go .

If this does not get them fired up then nothing will.

Not so much the comments from Ikin and Kent, rather the justified comments on the fact they are playing like garbage.

I will always support them but it becomes demoralising when after two weeks you feel like giving up for the season. Appreciate we have played two well drilled sides and for at least half of the game looked in the contest. The second halves have been a disaster and I would not put it down to fitness rather effort and mental strength.

If we beat Newcastle some of this will go away but only consistent results on the back of strong defence will get us out of this and shut up the two clowns mentioned earlier.

Usually I would say this underdog mentality or media bashing would be great as it would fire the team up the next week. But honestly, I just dont think this group we have actually care enough - so many players are ok with mediocracy.

For all his faults and drama he caused, at least with someone like Farah in the team - whenever the media would question or call out our team he would be bite back and you could genuinely see the passion in his responses (throw back to the matty johns show when our forwards were called soft). You always knew the next week we would come out flying. Now compare that to todays team...someone like Chee Kam who has the same facial expressions win lose or draw.

rant over :joy:

Benji's comment on Brooks was interesting..

Did he stick the knife in too?

No
He said it shouldn’t be all on Brooks

That’s good mate the club and playing group should come out backing brooks now.

What’s been said about brooks is dreadful bullying behaviour it’s a footy game.

I’ve heard many stories of Brooks getting harassed on Instagram after games - even threats by low lives. It’s beyond pathetic

He’s no longer on social media because of it

That's a bit unhinged. Agree, that's absolutely disgusting behaviour.

That is par for the course for a Rugby League Player ..some of the things thrown at his Mum would truly unhinge and disgust you..

Even on here with strong moderation and many banned, there are some that are close to the edge and would not surprise that their emotions explode elsewhere.
