Probably a good thing we aren't playing later. With the rain settling in, Thomas Mikaele would have risked being an environmental disaster if that Gold Dye had of started running!

Not too sure what Nofoaluma did wrong today? Still think he's our best winger in terms of try-scoring and the significance of his dirty hit ups in our own end can not be exaggerated

He did nothing is the problem. He offers so little in attack, he’s got no pace or X factor. He’s a good finisher but so is every other winger these days. Jennings out performed him at the nines but the actual trials will determine who plays not this tournament.

We will be fine when we have 13 on the field and can play within a structure. Our defence looks good and the attack will come once our top squad are out there..
In the first half they kicked off short twice and got the ball back .. That killed us as no tall players to catch the kickoff..

Anyway happy no serious injuries is a positive.

Missing all our main play makers so no surprises attacking wise we weren’t great. We lack pace too. Much easier to work with in 13 aside compared to nines.

Regarding WT, people.... relax. The squad we took has no spine, half our pack and is missing our two biggest signings. We still beat souffs so be happy.

Mate it’s not about that. It’s about losing big moments every single time. We underperform in big moments. It’s a pattern. Doesn’t matter what the occasion- this is elite sport and winning is everything, every time. We didn’t win - again. I’m not slashing wrists but I am pointing out a disturbing regularity.

We played two good games, most teams played one decent / one crap.

Only reason we are out is Souths got to rack up a score v Raiders ZZ graders.

No one should judge the nines with real seriousness. McQueen, Madden etc... and Pat Richards won't be there round one...........

I actually thought Talau looked a bit sluggish. Not a lot opportunities but I haven’t seen the “it” factor from him yet. I hope I’m wrong.

Cory is a better finisher, better footwork, probably faster and safer under the high ball. Nofa May as well be a prop cause those runs are all he’s good for.

Every other winger does dirty hit ups. JAC does it just as hard but a lot faster. We failed to address our number 1 shortcoming in our recruitment, a lack of pace especially on the wings. We have now to find two fast wingers for the start of the NRL season.
