NRL Nines ***LIVE GAME THREAD...

There was no structure out there. No gameplan. The halves exerted no influence and it looked like Justin Hunt was trying to do everything himself for some reason.

they wont help there both rubbish as well reserves players worth about 10.50 plus gst heleta is slower than my gran with a walking stick

Mate you're almost up to a whinging post per minute of the game played. You're gonna struggle to keep this rate up once we hit 80 minute games…

That doesn't bother Damo…

I love the tigers love them but we are the worst run worst coached club in the nrl and most embarrising we buy rubbish we pick rubbish this side wouldn't win cabra sevens lol they sell nines jerseys for 160 lol and pick a side of Costco players pathetic

As long as Drinkwater and Littlejohn play in the halves and Justin Hunt stops trying to run the show because of his "touch backround" we'll probably show a bit better structure. He was trying to do everything.

Heighington is a legend. And he's 34! Didn't think he was that old. He strikes me as the sort of bloke who'll play til he's 37.

I only watched the highlights but gee Cartwright looked good. He's definitely getting a run in my SuperCoach side. Griffin might be a good cheapie too from the sounds of things…

Cartwright is good but I'd wait til see how he goes up against a side who actually tackles rather than grappling with him ineffectively.

He gets them grappling with that big fend of his though, and then he has the skill to throw perfect one arm offloads after getting the outside defender in two minds. He looks bloody dangerous to me. Effective second phase play gives most defensive units a lot of drama. Imagine Teddy running off those offloads, or Parker's offloads…

Yeah I think you're giving him too much credit for what went on in that game. They were lousy efforts at tackling. Bryce Cartwright is an excellent player but you've got to do better than what our guys managed.

We could learn a thing or two about defence from the Jillaroo's and Kiwi Ferns… 😱pen_mouth:

Heighno is a good one, but he is 33, born Jan 14, 1983, if he does play again next year he will have played 100 fg games for 2 different clubs, joining an elite group of players.

We should sign the Jillaroos coach ..!
He's got them playing well , great defence, great attacking plays and a top kicking game !

Game of the tournament so far IMO !

As it was last year too. The girls really put in and have a dig.
Those 3 games that they play are the only ones worth watching in this pissant tournament.

At least they showed up with some attitude

I can't say that about the WT's first game
