These new rules suck ass. Never been less entertained by footy

Agree I hate the 6 again rule and it needs to go....

I still think the salary cap needs to be looked at in details including TPA.

Just an example for you - We player Souths tomorrow and they have 6 current SOO players playing and that's not including there halves who played last year in Walker and Reynolds.. Thats 8 in 1 team yet we struggle to have 1 and I know we are accountable for that.. Its fair to say pretty much every SOO player is on good coin at there clubs so it blows my mind how they can fit 30 players in under the cap..

The story from journos is that players are willing to go to winning clubs like Melb, Roosters and Wabbits for less $$$ and that's how they supposedly stay under the cap.
That's why it's so important for Us not to pay overs for any player. That way we know the player wants to play for us, not just for the $$$ he wants Us to pay him.

Lol how many players want to play for us? Think they all come for the money.

Two best coaches in the NRL now ask your self is Madge a bad coach ? how much is it the cattle you have and how much is it the coaching

My only issue is it, at worse, it looks like there's not a single competitive bone in the WT team. This has to have an impact on what other players think of our team/club.

The Tigers are the Club Med of the NRL or maybe ... Weekend at Bernie's.....

This might sound stupid but I honestly don't feel we're one of the worst teams and think we only need several key positions filled, but as far as I can see there's too much repition with poor habits and not much forward movement to realistically determine how far off we are.

I'll raise you, we are two players (two centres) and 1 rule change away from being a good team. If the game slows an iota teams like the tigers and Newcastle fly up the ladder. Manly, souths and dragons plummet. WTs are too big and not mobile enough, if the grind comes back they will win more than they lose. The way games are blowing out at the moment it's not unreasonable to think a slower game could come back, player welfare be dammed. Only time will tell.

The game sucks and is the least entertaining it's ever been since I can remember.

Found this bit of humour captures the ugliness of the game.

I wonder if we would feel the game sucks if Wests Tigers were scoring all the points instead of having them scored against us?

I’m sure we’d be a chirpy bunch. However as someone who’s often watched most games, it’s honestly become unbearable to watch team after team get flogged.
The year as a WT supporter has been depressing enough.

How on earth is this a more innovative or entertaining game? ![alt text](

What a fantastic contest to start Saturday’s footy feast. Gee I hope the next two games are as closely contested. Really love what NRL are doing 🙄

148 - 6 over 3 games - Super Saturday - what a joke.

I hope we get the bounce back result today?

But realistically, there backs are a class above us, and the expectation of a win must be low, especially how results are showing atm.

But amazingly, we are still not mathematically out of reaching the 8? But not the end of the world, if we don't. But like most have said, as long as we show some spirit today, the future results will come.

Funny too how the same crusty old journos are telling all the stories and they all agree on that one. On any other topic they are hugely divided. Makes you wonder if that narrative is being pushed by people with a bit of moolah under their bed. Don’t think those journos are doing too bad from the game they pop up on every bloody NRL show despite having wrong heads?

You'd think that the rule changes would effect teams later in the half or at the end of the game. But the blowouts are happening at the start. Storm were up 30-0 after 16 minutes and Manly was 5 tries up before 20 minutes.

I don't think Storm scored against us in the last 20 minutes. Teams are losing the games in the first 20 and not the last 20, so I'm not sure if I would contribute fatigue to these scorelines.

I think it's the head high crackdowns that have lead to a very passive defence. Either way, it's not a good luck. The NRL needs to do something but more importantly, the bottom teams need to bend their backs a bit and work harder. Dogs, Broncos and Tigers are playing like absolute crap most weeks.

Still comes down to learning to cope with pressure ...absorbing it .....defending your mistakes ....look how many times we make a mistake and the opposition scores in the next set .....Melbourne game ......Manly Game ......virtually every loss bar souths

We need to be at that Souths level virtually every week ...that performance needs to become the norm ...not the freak once in a season performance

It's momentum and the quality of your team. Look at Manly last week were down 24 in the first half and then put 50 on in the second half to blow the Titans off the park.

We need relegation back in the game. The gap between professional and the bottom of the ladder is way too big.

We’d end up in div 4

I see us more as non-league, National Conference. Maybe Conference South.

Would players have to take turns on the bbq?

You would hate to buy a sausage sandwich from MBye it would be inedible and cost about 50 dollars

Why?

It costs about 25x more than its worth and its very overcooked

HaHaHa

I still maintain if it was Wests Tigers doing the flogging rather than receiving them not many would be complaining about it..

I know a few Storms fans none of them think RL is crap….

Yeah panthers and storm fans think there's nothing wrong, everything looks good when you're winning. Stats don't lie though, the game is less competitive than ever
