NSW SOO Team

Young didn't play yesterday, and Morris didn't play the 2nd half ….it's like the Origin Gods have spoken...

Next in line is Snowden to crash and burn

I would give Snowden another shot. I think he is much better than what we saw on Wednesday night, whereas Morris and Young aren't.

11\. Bird

13\. Gallen

This is where, if anywhere Blues will win.

Rather Watmough than Bird because he's more intimidating.
Hard to like Bird unless he's in your team (like Ennis) but unlike Ennis I think he's got ticker.
I'd have him on the bench.
Watmough must have really pissed someone off (apart from Sheens ) to not be considered.

Agree with all of that cktiger. Yeah, I thought Watmough's ommission was due to his consistently unsavoury behaviour off the field, but then Bird was chosen - go figure.

Bird had a blinder in game 1, and is usually one of the best players on the field when he plays in origin, proven by his 2 man of the match awards despite only playing in 2 winning games. Watmough would be better served as an impact player, have him come on after 30 and hit the fringes hard, that's where he's at his best.

totally agree marshall_magic

Bird didnt have a blinder IMO. He flopped and fluttered around like a poof trying to get penalties which wasted time for his side, he was fairly dominated in defense and his own defense wasnt up to scratch.

Watmough has hardly ever let NSW down. He should be a starting secondrower. I'd put bird back to the bench, bring Watmough in, sack Scott as he doesnt offer enough and replace him with Lewis. That way you have brought in two good attacking players with plenty of experience.

I wonder if NSW will toy with the idea of playing Gallen at prop and bringing in another second rower (Lewis or Watmough)

yeah bird was pissing me off trying to milk penalties, and thats coming from a nsw supporter. surely the refs are on to him. he is a dishonest prick off the field too. remember how he was going to blame his friend for glassing his girlfriend. pathetic

I hate the idea of Gallen at prop, I'd rather use him in the back row, and if we need him to jump up there for 10-15 minutes then push him up there. I don't like the idea of going into a game with 3 props and a makeshift prop, especially a rep game.

I hope they dont do that, I mean we were smashed up front in game 1, so it would be wrong to then go into game 2 even lighter. Rather then weaken the 2nd row to possibly strengthen the front row wont work imo.

To me its similar to when Sheens would put Farah at 7, all it is, is weakening a position to maybe strengthen another.

NSW side should be interesting . Morris out injured , Jennings out injured , injury cloud over Mannah . Suppose you are lucky having Ennis in sublime form

What annoys me is that the team is announced today (Sunday) which suggests that Stuart is even interested in seeing the Tigers/Knights game before making any final decision - i didn't see the Manly/Dogs game but Ennis must have had a huge impact on the match - he ran 8 times for 29 mtrs - no try assists, no line breaks and 4 errors - he did however make 45 tackles although that appears to be average these days with some players making 70 tackles a match!!!!

Brilliant weekend for NSW selections, first Jennings gets injured, gone for 4-6 weeks, now as I type this Josh Dugan leaves the field in Canberra injured, hopefully he's good for next week.
