Official - Josh Reynolds Signs Megathread

Graham, who received a standing ovation for the gesture, was reduced to tears after Dib's speech.

"I moved over here from England and if there is a guy that epitomises this club, he's the glue of this club," Graham said of Reynolds.

"He brings people together like no one else I've ever met.

"Through 12-13 years as a professional, I've never met anyone like him.

"I really don't care if you want to clap or what you want to do, I just want Josh Reynolds to stand up and take a bow."

This is the change the club needed to happen …..out with the self centred and selfish types and in with the team players with the drive to win .

Bad News For One Of The Wests Tigers' Biggest Recruits

Slow start to 2018

It has been reported that new recruit Josh Reynolds may be up for a slow start to 2018.

According to Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read, the injury Reynolds sustained in his final game for the Bulldogs is worse than originally thought.

"The injury is worse than what they suspected," Ready said.

"He's put the surgery off because they had Mad Monday and some celebrations, but he'll miss the start of the preseason with the Tigers."

Thankfully we have enough depth that his slow recovery wont hurt us.

I'd just hate to see a repeat of Ballin or Idris Stories.

Josh was just on MMM ..apparently arriving on crutches to Mad Monday was a gee up…has been in contact with Wests Tigers medical staff and will be guided by them...

His experience will be good for driving a new Culture..

To paraphrase his comment about joining the Wests Tigers.."Sure we may not have a Superstar Roster but when you have 17 players playing for each other and the Club you will rack up quite a few WWW in the right column..Wests Tigers have a very passionate fanbase similar to the Dogs they deserve a Team that plays Finals Football...

Like several others I'm far from convinced about the Reynolds signing on his skills alone. But it's also clear he wasn't recruited just for his skills set. If he can get an extra 5%-10% out of those around him through his 'passion plays' and never-give-up attitude he will have served his purpose. We've lacked that grit for too long as a club.

A Resounding Endorsement For Ivan Cleary From A Big Name Recruit

"I'm really excited for the challenge"

New West Tigers recruit Josh Reynolds has given a resounding endorsement for his new coach Ivan Cleary.

Speaking to Saturday Triple M, Reynolds has admired from afar the work Cleary has done since taking over the role from Jason Taylor earlier this year.

"Ivan has definitely instilled some real tough mentality into that team," Reynolds said.

"For me coming in and i'm sure the blokes coming in from other clubs are thinking the same, we just want to buy into that."

Whilst Reynolds is disappointed to be leaving his beloved Bulldogs, he is excited for the new challenge ahead, especially trying to qualify the Tigers for the finals something which they haven't achieved since 2011.

"I'm really excited for the challenge ahead, it's going to be something so different for me."

"It's a club that really deserves to play semi-final football … It's what the fans deserve," Reynolds said.

Its easy to see why the Bulldogs fans and players love the grub.

Interesting article: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/james-grahams-selfless-bulldogs-pay-cut-offer-in-bid-to-keep-josh-reynolds/news-story/741b37f3a84f6837fc9803aea75c70fe

Pity we didn't get Graham too. These two sound great as foundations for building club culture. Especially in comparison to the departed 'marquee' players. I wonder if any WT players offered to take pay cuts to keep them?
Ivans third law; Be the player your teammates want to play with.
Go Tigers.

Honestly after reading that I thought "damnit, we should have recruited Graham".I had him at $250K*, St George got him at $400k…. but with passion like that you just can't bottle it. Maybe he could fire up our front row a bit.
*this actually seems like a great price, but his performance is way down.

Really enjoyed those soundbites from Grub.

Singing the right notes, just needs to follow up on the field. Hope they don't rush him back, we have him for four years, no need to send him out underdone, and one B. Marshall will ably fill in there in the meantime.

With the emergence of Twal and Hooth, we didn't need Graham. If a back rower were to become available though….

On Grub, that article sums him up. He exudes passion. Just what we need after the cretins we had this year left the building.

My mate watched Reynolds get ATL'd from the casino early Sunday morning acting like a grub and total wanker

I wish we didn't buy this wanker .. "good for culture"

Dont blame the bloke considering the season he had
😂😂

Graham signed a fairly long contract with the Dragons - 3 or 4 years I think.
I think his body will have had enough after the next couple.
People reckon Reynolds is a risk - watch this space re Graham.
I would have loved to have got him for 2 years though.

I see him and Graham a few times a week and Josh is always polite and good with kids always takes photos with them and gives them his time so that's good enough for me

But if you see an adult after a few drinks and they are a little loud people tend to think the wrong thing it's just human nature he is a male in his twenties he has to live a little all can not be nuns

Well, is it worth signing these guys for 4 years then? I think so.

This is the trick with backended contracts. Will the Superstar get taken out with Injury before the contracts end? Like Anthony Watmough and that accident at training…

Anyway we will see how James does at the Dragons.

No way he lasts 3 years. He'll go home amd have a swan song in the Super League after 2 imo.
