Reynolds gets sold short on talent. He is a very skilled player but a runner not a dominating ball player.
He's passionate but that's not his strength it's his running game. If given quality ball he can tear defences in half.
This bloke was key in NSW winning origin and was instrumental in Dogs finals runs. The dogs are horrid they win some games due to their powerful forwards and good defence.

Agree TYGA a lot of players have sold Reynolds short over the years to their peril. He is a very smart player and similar to Terry Lamb in respect of backing up players with the ball. He is not a brilliant playmaker as in a Johns but he is always in the game and near the ball.

There was an incident yesterday where Montoya had the ball down his right touch line - defence was closing in and he died with the ball. Problem was Reynolds had trailed through down the centre of the field and was screaming for the infield kick so he could score under the posts. All to no avail.

It is hard to look good when you are playing with dopes.

I watch plenty of Dogs games as mates of mine are key sponsors. They are just bad from hooker and halfback and Reynolds gets the ball when the play breaks down. The key to success at the Tigers will be Liddle and Brooks. He will also shine backing up Matulino who has the best offload in the game when he is on. Cleary has a plan it's not just moneyball. **If Brooks can organise the team** Reynolds will be the best signing we have made.

This is the big question isn't it? I don't think he has it in him, tbh. Cooper, Cooper calling Cooper!

It's complicated as our pack gets dominated every week which will change (Packer/Matulino)and Brooks has the worst centres and edge backrowers in the league. McQueen will be a great edge runner for Brooks and Suli+Milne have some strike. We need another edge backrower (Boyle)maybe good and a tall winger (Rona) to give him some kicking options. We need some grunt off the bench also to avoid the inevitable fade outs late in halves which have cost us our season.

A friend of mine is a mad doggie supporter, I said to him last year when it looked like Brooks was going to the Dogs it would be the best thing for Reynolds game.
It turned out that we got Reynolds and I think if Luke plays a good organising game JR will shine.
That's one of the problems at the Dogs Mbye is not a good organiser and has a poor kicking game.

True. Lichaa is the worst hooker I have seen in footy. He makes Robbie look like Cam Smith hes that slow with service. Mbye is an undersized centre and paid 700k p.a. and will never be a halfback. This is why I have high hopes for Reynolds he shone with Hodko a half decent halfback. Granted their pack was dominant.

Our club has been screaming out for a player like Reynolds for years. Hard, competitive, self belief..you name it he has the qualities this club lacks

It all depends how brooks goes. If brooks takes control of the team reynolds will be great. If brooks struggles then reynolds will not be great.

The Bulldogs never looked comfortable throwing the ball around yesterday. Graham was also not there to play halfback! I don't think the win did anything to further Hasler's tenure and I think both Bulldogs' halves should have lead more than they did.

He crabs… it's the worst of Benji .. dumb stuff included ... the Tigers have always been one of the dumbest teams and he will compound that .. plus his game won't age well because his best asset is his legs .. He isn't a general or a ball player and once his legs goes... so will the rest of his game ... I can only believe that Cleary himself was surprised at the level of talent he recruited and had he been the last on the list and not one of the first .. he would have settled on Brooks, Lolohea and Watson as his halves options

Usually I rate you as a decent judge, so can only assume you haven't seen him play too many games if you think he crabs across field. On occasions, yes, but as a general rule if not passing, he accelerates to the line and quite often makes a break, that is his strength.

You might be confusing Balmainboy with Balmain Boy. Two different posters.

Never picked up on that Gal - that explains the illogical comment then.

Yeah, I thought Balmain Boy had gone nuts a few weeks ago . A bit unfair on him to have another poster with an almost identical username.

Is it just me or does he look like he's really struggling with his hamstring tonight? Looks really proppy on that leg.

I'm really concerned about Reynolds, he looks like he's forgotten how to play, looks like he's really not enjoying football and I can't see much changing when he gets here. If you think he's going to come here and transform into the player has once was you're dreaming, maybe if he went to a Brisbane, Storm, Cows etc but he's coming to a club in a worse position than what he's currently at.

Or maybe it's not the same for him since he was told he was unwanted. Maybe he just needs to get away from them amd get away from Des.

I'll call this out now… signing Reynolds on the money we did for 4 years will end up being a massive flop and mistake... he is just an average footballer....no discipline, little skill, no athleticism... we could've done bettter... Watson instead

You could say that for his whole team…his coach is devoid of ideas

I dunno…got them 2 repeat sets in the 1st half..guess he was just lucky..

Competes on every play ..leads the kick chase..nice pass in the lead up to Montoya's try..Dogs had zero ball the entire 2nd half and with little ball they had the game was gone so it was just frantic stuff...The penalty against him prior to the Pearson No TRY was crap also...

Looks frustrated..

P.S. Dogs don't deserve Josh Jackson..they should let him go..

Des is even more stale than Sheens was at the end here. They're dammed whatever they do. If they keep him on they will only sink lower amd lower. And if they do sack him, they potentially risk losing Foran.

After hearing Anthony Lafranchi speaking on this morning,on his regular radio spot, I'm even more dubious about McQueen. ,
It appears that his neck is worse than thought and not likely to play again for the Titans.
Is looking like surgery is needed, and also he was being very open about the seriousness of Mcqueens problems.
I was unaware that this injury has been going on from last season .
Why Are we offering a four yr, contract to someone with this sort of problem ?

I thought he looked alright tonight. Does seem to still be carrying an injury as he didn't show his usual acceleration when he poked through the line.

They should build a set play off that big right foot step of his - it holds up the defensive line really well and if he had someone running inside out off his right shoulder they'd be very hard to stop. Lolohea could do that well..

It's a 3 year contract. It's done now so just wait and see what happens.
