OFFICIAL: Wests Tigers sign James Tamou

Tamou is a good signing for us, his form, work ethic and leadership attributes shine, never more than the Panthers 2020 grand final campaign. My only disappointment is, if Packed had done his job and earned his money, we wouldn't have needed to sign Tamou.

40 mins, ten runs for 120 metres, 8 tackle breaks, 28 tackles 0 missed. Outstanding stats for any game let alone a prelim final plus he found his front and found quick play the balls consistently

Got leadership skills on top

Plodder transformation will begin in a few weeks... Probably be another Blair... That's what we're good at

Yeah it’s a scary thought that it could actually happen.

At present, Tamou is the captain of a team that has won 17 games on the trot and is now in the GF. In 8 days he could actually be the captain of the Premiership winning team. This is the calibre of player that we have finally snared - I truly hope that the plodder transformation doesn’t take place in this instance, but his signing has the opposite effect and he can actually lead and inspire our team to greater heights.

I think with the signing of Douehi and Lucy this season and Tamou for next we are finally choosing the right kind of players to lead us on to better days. It JAC ends up coming onboard also that will be a sure sign of better days, imo. It has to happen... surely, God knows we’ve all waited long enough!

I honestly can't fault our recruitment team. If you think about who we have signed and targeted, they're doing a great job.

It really feels like there's some thought going on in the background

Cant wait for Jimmy to join, watching him talk in the Panthers huddles and lead there blokes around is something we have needed as well as some one that can consistently make 100m a game.

Yeah recruitment since this time last year has been pretty good given what they’ve had to work with. Nabbed lots of young up and comers and guys like Doueihi and Luciano have been good pickups too. Now it’s time to start spending big dollars come 2022

I didn't watch the game, but it sounds like he had a good one. Very happy to hear it.

Same here, though will probably catch him next weekend to see if he can still put together back to back performances in big games.

Hopefully Penrith get done next week and Jum comes here with the fire in the belly to have one last tilt before he finishes up.

We have one, potentially 2 players playing next week that will be in our side in 2021.

Useless fact. This is the third consecutive grand final that one of the players will be with us the following year.

Matterson won in 2018- had a stellar season with us in 2019 before promptly chucking a sook and leaving

hopefully Tamou or JAC which ever wins the GF doesnt do the same :joy:
