This is the issue isn't it. He gets a spot based on being the captain. Someone misses out.

It's similar to when we signed Pat Richards and we left Korobiete or JAC out of the team. It's not this bad but it's not great.

The big mistake that we've made is giving him the captaincy spot. Then you start with the guy. I reckon he is lucky to make our top team and I think it's nuts to have Tamou, Twal and Joe O as our starting middle forwards. You need at least one guy that can actually dent the line himself. Stef, Mikaele or Musgrove need to start and drop Tamou or Twal.

The more I think about it Tamou doesn't deserve a starting spot.

Honestly Seyfarth, Mikaele, Stef, Joe O and Twal area all better than Tamou now. If Musgrove fixes his defense he has to get a spot. That doesn't include Amone or Tuki SImpkins or any other up and coming middle forward.

Tamou is great depth and we didn't overpay. He has also been decent for us. He isn't a bad signing. I'm just not sure he is what we need.

If Tamou was brought in for leadership he should be running around in the Knock on cup ( on minimal wage)

I wouldn't put it past Mavoni to debut next year although I suspect he'll feature quite a bit in KOE.

I wonder if he'll get a run this year in KOE, he's been killing it in Flegg by the sounds of it. Etuale Lui got picked over him but he did quite well, could see both of them pushing for firsts next year sometime.

I have no doubt he'd handle the step up. We're well served in the front row at the moment even with Packer missing. I suspect if one of the front rowers went down with injury then it may open up a spot on the bench for him.

Yeah, he was only the captain for last year's minor premiers and Grand finalist. Couldn't possibly be of value to us

You do realise he doesn’t just impart any of his experience only on the field he does it of the field too. He gets the minutes Madge allows him! We also bought him before the new rules made the game faster. He was never here to play big minutes. We aren’t paying heaps and he’s not as bad as everyone has made him out to be.

I think your reading to much into it ....Tamou captained the side,played in the GF and knew he was on borrowed time with so much youth at IVANS DISPOSAL,that he made the desicion to leave...He can be in awe of the team as he had connections with many of the players and dare I say helped many of the youth to play at that level...What I have seen of James here with us is he is passing on knowledge and experience the same as he did for his former employer,I have seen him be quite passionate about our team and club,the youth in our squad and club speak highly of him and he is doing all that is expected of him 100 percent for us...

I rate Tamou and I probably came across angry for some of the comments.

I guess I'm one of them supporters where if ONE bad or good thing is said I take it to the grave with me.. sometimes I wish i'm not that invested in them.

I do agree that Tamou does try every game 100%.
