Our Attack

That was quiet nasty, are you comparing what I've said in the past applies to what happened today, and the endone ref was uncalled for, I nearly died for my country... you?

Youve made the endone use common knowledge, I was having a dig at you for saying the players were “ having a dig “, I was in the Nasho draw in 1971 and my number didn’t come out if it matters

It does, your service is admirable but your dig at me wasn't appreciated.
If it was in jest reword it, if it was a genuine gig at me don't beat around the bush and say what you really mean.

I thought you were better than that.
The original post you were referring to was about players taking responsibility for their actions, you can't coach that.
If you think my endone ref was not appropriate say it properly.
I'm busted and sometimes to get through it one makes light if it.
If you have a problem with that chat with me and we'll sort it out 👍

Gardiner is the attack coach right?

I guess it’s hard when the spine changes a lot, but the same plays would still be there.

Play 1, 2, 3, 4 so on..

Basic footy isn’t it? I never hear them yelling out numbers or plays, I guess that’s why my team did when I played

We have the worst 1/6/7/9 combo in the comp. If you had to rank them they would be at least bottom five in every one of those positions if not last. You cant expect to win games with no talent in such key areas.

Our attack? There is none.

Literally, nothing.

Name one trick play the coach has come up with the last three years? Name one set in the opp twenty where you thought "gee, that was good...I can see what they are doing here".

Four hit ups, Brooks or Liddle run into traffic and a kick...over and over and over.

This is season four and the coach has come up with no attacking identity. Nothing.

If you look at the sharks attack, their backline was practically standing behind each other and deep. That is perfect against a flat footed D line.
When we attack we are too flat and is easily read and adjusted to.

I would love to see someone ask Madge how he envisions our attack looking. If it is that drivel of 4 one out hit ups, the half finding the leading runner and then a pointless bomb, then he should resign.

Assuming that is not our plan, what is preventing the team from executing the gameplan he wants them to play

What frustrates me most about our attack is our shape. We’re just so flat and listless. Our backrowers and centres aren’t running any lines or giving any options to our halves and we’re so disjointed when trying to shift the ball. Brooks stands so far wide of the ruck and when he does get the ball he kind of veers diagonally to the line and diminishes space for the rest of the team.

Apart from our shape, we’re not doing the basics. Liddle service out of dummy half is slow and is always good for an error or two at the ruck. No one pushes up in support which is just basics you learn as teenagers. Our basic skill level is awful. Players don’t know how to catch and pass. We can’t even get to dummy half.

It’s all shambolic and humiliating really.
