The crusher doesn't need to part of his repertoire
You fell for the media hype also that was no crusher. He is side on and his hand makes contact with the head and neck. The motion looks bad but that was milked.
No need for that dropping of his weight motion. He had no control of where he was gonna land, it's just boneheaded action. Way too dangerous to let it slide.
It’s not a crusher tackle. He was not landing his torso on his head and neck they were nowhere close. The bloke faked it it’s clear.
His chest was above his head, watch it again.
Completely unnecessary given that Gutherson was already on the ground.
What was the point of it?
The problem is players are milking it for all they can and until the NRL do something about it like making the player claiming a crusher to leave the field for a 15 min assessment it will go on and detract from our great game.
On the question of MILKING does it annoy anyone else when the refs call out MILKING on a player in possession and do nothing about it.
A penalty against whilst in possession would fix the problem immediately.
I think they call out 'milking' when the defender has been on the player with the ball too long, and the ref doesn't want to say '6 again' but knows it's been too long, so he says 'milking' instead.
