Ahhhhhh…..if Parish signs its a Balmain conspiracy led by Harry and Humphreys.....what a laugh.

**I cant wait for the magpie moanfest. We listened to it about Sheens for years and its still goin.....**

So you want to see Parish appointed just to see a group of people you don't even know have a whinge

love your priorities

I am neither here nor there about him.

Id love u to show me where i have said i want him to be coach!!ive never said it!

I have observed the ridiculous assertions about him being a Balmain inserted stooge sent in there, like Sheens to destroy the mighty magpies…zzzzzz

I am quite certain Simonthetiger that there is plenty of people from both Wests and Balmain(me) who dont want Parish. Why is it any questions on Parish and your making the superquick assumption that its a magpie moanfest. That mentality is more divisive than any potential "MAGPIE MOANERS" that may be on here. Please dont have a "TIGER TANTRUM".

So Im guessing youre written off Parish already, in favour of what we just saw this year like 9 halves combos to replace a fullback

OK

Im writing off Parish compared to a 4 time premiership coach who had guided us to successive top 4 finishes before this year.

Or to pick and choose points with my own spin as you have done above.

You prefer a coach whose previous coaching experience is highlighted by a wooden spoon in QLD cup and has a 1 from 7 win ratio before getting the ar$e in ESL over the current Australian coach, with more NRL games at the helm than any other coach with 4 premierships and 2 top 4 finishes in the last 3 years

and to further belittle my opinion as you have above to mine I'll throw in one of these :crazy

As I said, in my original post, I did not want to sack Sheens unless the incoming coach was better, IMO Parish and some other possible candidates are not better.

I am.

We have a squad capable of top 4\. Our main player off contract and we want to gamble on an unknown coach with zero record in 1st grade
We have coaches with more qualifications who seem to not be in favour. I don't understand.

You in general have a good idea what is going on around the club, in your opinion is it likely that Parish will get the gig.

Benji was 100% when he said only replacing sheens with someone who is better to do the job. Parish is not it.
\

Ahh you swallow the spin too
Though to be fair benji probably thinks its genuine, he probably thinks Sheens is THE best,,,,but benji is a kid with an emotional attachment, doesnt know what hes doing half the time until hes done it…..benji says LOTS of things but rarely DOES them

Well common sense says u don't go backwards. Unless there is a better option out there. In this case I think there is 3-4 better options then the one we are talking about.

Both Toovey and Maguire were untried at NRL level before this year also and their respective teams fell just one week short of a Grand Final! Like most on here, I too would prefer Folkes, Potter or Anderson, but if we do end up with Parish as our coach, for whatever reason, then perhaps we should at least give him the chance to prove himself before judging him too harshly.

Ink…are you trying to be Alan Jones?? Why is his god awful pic on your posts? It's credibility ending, career limiting, scandal provoking. Please get rid of that disgraceful face from here. We're all infintiely better than anything that ***got would represent.

Sheens too was once upon a time a rookie with 0 premierships, 0 experience and 0 cred…..dont put words in my mouth saying what I prefer, as I said, Ive stated earlier what my preference is....I dont make the decisions tho....if the club goes this way then I will support the bloke, give him a break.....who is better than who is all a matter of opinion anyway, much like ringolls and we all have them

Well common sense says u don't go backwards. Unless there is a better option out there. In this case I think there is 3-4 better options then the one we are talking about.

So do I.....but what Benji wants means bugger all really, he needs to shut his gobm, stop crying and play footy....he sounds like that other flip from the warriors bagging their new coach before he's even met him
Srsly, todays generation are seeming to me to be a spoilt bunch of princesses used to getting eveything they want - not now- yesterday, no patience, no respect...Benji's going to have to change his bloody attitude quick smart, because every name Ive heard mentioned to replace Sheens I imagine is not most peoples idea of being ''better then Sheens"

Yeh OK its annoying me too
Done
I must look after my cred.

Has anyone here ever heard from anyone who has been coached by parish or even ever met parish because the reasons for not wanting him seem flaky at best. He won the qld cup with the young cowboys , has been coaching for 20yrs starting with the entrance. He has recommendations from many of the top people in the game and has been nsw assistant coach, manly assistant coach signed by Ricky for 3 yrs at parra, etc so he does have some positives. Also it seems at Sanford the fans wanted the board gone and so did parish because the club was being run into the ground. I'm not sure he is or isn't the best choice but I'm warming to the idea and if they have done the interviews and the research and he is the choice then I am right behind it.

The club asked Ray Cashmere what he thought of him coz he was at Salford at the time. It wasn't a flattering report.

Yeah, Blocker. Turn it up. The game is scraping the bottom of the barrel if he is one of its top people

So were Kearney at Parramatta and the guy who replaced Bennett at St. George. This Parish is a big risk as a coach in top grade. Why risk him when West Tigers are near the brink of throwing away the respect which they have built over the last 7 years? I wonder if Potter, Walters, Folkes and company have connections like Humphreys and Alan Jones.

Only time will tell. TBH I would prefer others over Parish, but at the end of the day the incumbent wasn't working out for us. He had arguably the best squad in years and couldn't make the eight with them.

We're not in the position to demand a coach with credentials for obvious reasons, so we will have to settle for it. If we do sign Parish, I'll give him a go simply because he is something different to what we've seen, and we could be anything with a new coach. Whomever it is, I hope they bring a bit of discipline along with them.

I'm hoping after the Tigers interview Potter he shines and stands above the rest. He has the runs, wants the job and is not connected to the Tigers or magpies in any way
