Pascoe sanctioned by the NRL

Well I’d be confident in beating s houseplant in a game of chess and I do think Greenberg is an inconsistent, incompetent leader who favours the big clubs. Why he does this I don’t know. Maybe he’s scared to take them on; maybe he wants Sydney clubs to fold. And it’s not just Greenberg, it’s the NRL. Cameron Smith is favoured. Broncos are favoured. Rorters do what they like. Recently Inglis was treated favourably. We were prejudiced when Daley was allowed to coach indigenous team but not us. Not fair. Not consistent. Actually incompetent leadership. Vendetta - I don’t know. Houseplant - not likely.

Welcome @HateForums. You are very understanding of the NRL view in what you have posted in the week since you jumped on board.

It must only be us offering players post retirement gigs while they were playing & blokes like Slater (melbourne), Lewis (cronulla) Lockyer (broncos) must have all entered the last years of their playing careers hoping for the best and a job suddenly opened up and was offered in the weeks after their retirement.

Technically we are im breach of the rules. Anyone that thinks the examples above were not is naive in the extreme & that is what irks people, there are different sets of rules investigated, applied & penalised with no consistency at all.

The thing I don’t understand is if one of the parties did not sign the contract and No monies have been paid how can we be penalised for something that has not occurred and may never occur?

When you think about it we did self report. I remember press articles about Robbie taking an ambassador role at the time, the NRL was just too stupid to pick up the phone and ask whats doin?

Honest mistake imo .

None of us have seen any evidence .. none of us know what has been declared and what hasn’t .. You’re guessing ..
here’s what we do know
Tigers admitted fault
Pascoe admitted fault
An agreement to pay Farah after retirement wasn’t disclosed
YOU AND ME KNOW NOTHING ELSE

But yeah only the Chinese swim team doped
The aussies overdosed on caffeine
Same mentality
Stop being victims

Yes this is no place for being constructive
Let’s cheat better next time huh? Cash only .. no side letters .. lets be smart about it

I am pretty reliably informed our breach was blatant and disguised. Bad decision under pressure to cover up the Farah debacle. I’ve said it before Jason Taylor is the biggest lemon in the history of football. Pascoe made a mistake but it wasn’t an oversight. I can cop a bad decision under the circumstances.

NRL is clearly penalising teams for intent and deception rather than the quantum of the rort.
I don’t agree with this approach at all and NRL leadership needs to stand down for this disgrace happening under their watch.

It was political from day one. The big boys running the show. Go and Pascoe, good administrators, but are upsetting the apple cart. They were never in the inner cliche, therefore were a threat.

The NRL has been run and controlled by a bunch of dodgy fatcats who are only interested in their own pockets. Greenburg showed he could tow the line and cover up what was necessary at the Bulldogs. And Beattie, he's a politician for crying out loud.

What Wests Tigers need (and all the other clubs in the NRL not in the upper echelon) is for the game to be wrestled away from these interests, but as long as the game makes a profit, I don't see how those interests can lose power.

I hope Go stays, and Pascoe comes back for at least another year and half, just to show those fatcat so-and-sos that they will fight against them. They will then go to continue to have outstanding careers in administration in other areas, and we will be lucky to get someone of their calibre next time.

That sort of comment doesn't go down too well here.

The reason this type of comment does not go down well is it is HEAR SAY from another keyboard warrior !please supply information into the public arena so we all can then decide . Is this to hard to understand!

I appreciate TYGA's comment. I still think the NRL has us in their sights, as a little team they can focus on to let other big teams get away with murder.

But it's pretty clear something went wrong, and what TYGA says makes sense.

The club provided the information by admitting fault and apologising to the NRL, people still don't accept it.

@HateForums has valid points IMO just because it doesn't fit with the norms victim mentality no need to cop hate..

The Wests Tigers release says it all to me apologising to the NRL for their initial response paints the picture… they stuffed it... at least we can move on..just cheat better next time like the successful Clubs huh..
