Pascoe sanctioned by the NRL

I'm not as sure as others that our punishment was excessive. The way this played out, especially with the back-peddling by WT management, indicates to me that the NRL had something worth pursuing. The fact that our management apologised for their initial response says there was more evidence to respond to than first thought.
If Pascoe was so much in the right and there was only a simple oversight why hasn't he and Brydens taken it further?
The one thing I'd like to know is who, at this late stage, was responsible for bringing this to the attention of the NRL with the detail they would require to take it further?
I smell a black cat.

The more I think about the whole thing the more I think it stinks. To see the Sharks systematically cheat in 13,14,15 and 17 and share a very similar cap penalty to us is a joke. If our breach is/was that bad then Pascoe wouldn’t have had his ban backdated and set at 6 months

I can only hope that Jack de Belin and Shane Flanagan show some backbone and take the NRL to court.

To take the words of a famous Australian slightly out of context.

"God save the Queen because nothing will save Todd Greenberg".

I really believe Greenberg will be gone before the end of the year.

Hi Everyone.
Hi Underdog. I've replied to you because I haven't worked out how to post a comment (other than a reply).
Having been a forum reader for well over a year this subject has prompted me to join up and add my two bob's worth.
I can really appreciate the sentiments expressed about taking his issue further, but I actually think that the club's response is the correct one.
We just don't need the distraction that disputing this issue will cause.
I suspect the club has adopted the view that it just wants to focus on the main game - getting our team into the 2019 finals.
I applaud that.
Let the games begin!

Love that a couple of select articles have labelled the NRL as folding - in handing out their punishment against us. Not really surprised but still disappointed in the result…considering, and in comparison, to Sharks' history of cheating.

Actually a little interested in the Musgrove case - seeing as he goes to court next week. Think it's more likely he'll end up signed elsewhere.

Emma Lawrence said on Ten News “that conveniently the Sharks were cap compliant in 2016” a good shot at the Sharks.

I dont like this one bit. Im a huge Pascoe fan and i think he has been bent over in relation to consistency.

However, cant help but think maybe a bit more has gone on that none of us know about. So i will take the clubs lead, cop a penalty and get it over with. If this ruins Pascoes career and any benefit we have from his leadership, then that will do me for the game.

Out of principle, i will renew my membership on June 20\. They will still get my money and they will still get my merchandise money, but its my way of supporting Pascoe and sticking my finger up at the NRL.

Im not surprised with the news handed down from the NRL today. I am however surprised with the WTs response to the decision. Its interesting to hear how we thought we had a case to fight and threatened legal action, only to completely change our tune and roll over and apologise to Kim Jon Un and his cronies. We have obviously recieved advise telling us theres no chance, dont even bother fighting and just get on with the season. Anyway, if theres no fight to win then bring on the season and hope Pascoe returns to his club comfortably in the top 8 in june.

So if this is true that the Sharks were compliant in 2016 I think they need to prove that to the public

I don't believe them and no doubt does anyone else

Lets the scumbags wait another 50 years

Of course the sharks were compliant in 2016\. I believe in the NRL. I believe in the NRL. I believe in the NRL. I believe in the NRL. I believe in the NRL. I believe in the NRL. I believe in the NRL. Theres no place like home. Theres no place like home. Theres no place like home.
It's OK Dorothy.
