Pascoe sanctioned by the NRL

Wouldn’t Wests Ashfield decide who becomes our new chair? Not sure how the process works. If someone knows, feel free to share

Wests Tigers board elects the chair..

Rumour,Suspicion and Innuendo, does not maketh fact.Have you ever thought that maybe those other clubs are better run than us? No, I didn't think so. How many CEO's have we had? How many changes in backroom staff have we had? Oh, how many coaches have we had? Go follow the ARU or play mables.

Why do you ask me a question and then answer it before giving me the chance to respond? Interesting approach! You’re obviously only interested in reading your own stuff. I have thought through how poorly our club was run in comparison to others. No tigers fan could have ignored that over the past few years. However, I still believe that for reasons beyond my knowledge, certain players, teams and clubs are favoured and the current admin does not address this issue. I totally understand not everyone believes that and I respect those opinions. Maybe you could do the same eh?

Whether our club is run well and whether the NRL is inconsistent are unrelated matters.

Yes this is no place for being constructive
Let’s cheat better next time huh? Cash only … no side letters … lets be smart about it

You mean like the favoured roosters and bronco's do

We breached the cap and got caught, time to accept it and move on

I am not saying we didn't, cronulla did it for years won a comp and got less a penalty than us. And you are comfortable with the bronco's and roosters cap each year, plus the favours they get

It seems clear to me that the end result, even down to the club’s apologetic statement, was a negotiated outcome over the last couple of months.

Yes I imagine it would have been. They will likely have insisted that we acknowledge wrongdoing and issue a public apology in order to get a reduced penalty so that fan anger was not directed at them but at the club.

So I guess there will be no more calling Gallen a drug cheat around these forums then?

I would have to guess that the $ amount theybreached the cap must be similar to ours. You have to have salary cap reduction be equal to the breach. As for the other clubs, I dont care what they do, I dont support them or invest in them so they dont need to act in a way I approve of.

A lot of posters on here are using the exact same arguments that gallen supporters use to defend his drug admission.

I'm not talking about the crime I'm talking about the reaction of people in here is very similar to sharks fans towards gallen

Yeah, I doubt we will ever know what it was for but I think it was either to cover loss of TPA or just as an incentive to leave.

And therein lays the problem with the severity of the penalty, as it is not commensurate with the violation, which is way, way, way down the scale when compared to systematically cheating over a period of years.

If it wasn't my club this would be so funny. The club is so desperate to get rid of a player that they guarentee him $600000 if he wants it in a couple of years time. It's going to cost us 2 times what we saved on the salary cap in 2017, this year and next year. Yet people think that the people involved in this deal and signing off on it are geniuses. Lucky we are such a well run club that people don't loose there jobs when making bad decisions. Because let's be honest. Taking out the nrl decision go and pascoe signed off on a bad deal….especially when less than 18 months later he is back on the books. This club never seems to be able to improve because i don't think we ever have a plan. Getting rid of Farah was a waste of time because he is already back playing for us and our dealings has cost a lot of money. Everyone from the clubs side involved in the deal should hand in there resignation.

Ok 200 million a year business and they only made 46 million

Still a piss ant return …that's ok keep defending the NRL and their boys club

Im not defending them but Im not going to pretend this isnt our mistake, it is. Where I come from, you make a mistake, put your hand up, cop the consequence, move on and try to do better next time. That is what we need to do, not hide behind excuses.

The issue is we have been penalized as much if not more than clubs that have blatantly flaunted the rules over a long period of time

And this is as much the NRL's fault as anyone elses …..why allow us to resign Farah if they were so annoyed ... why not be proactive rather than reactive ??

You can't compare what we have done compared to Melbourne ,Parra ,Warriors and in particular the Sharks
