Pascoe statement on times at hand - message from CEO

There's been nothing official yet, are they waiting for cooling off periods to finish before going into the market?

What if something weird happens like the NRL knock back the Woods contract?

He can come back to the club and enquire about staying. We then table a new offer.

Same for Tedesco.

They'll need to crawl in through the supplicants door

There was some talk today that Moses may have changed his mind. Lots of things can happen during a cooling off period.

After today's win, who knows?

If they came back. I would demand an apology and be offering minimum wage. That's after 5 months of thinking about it first.

If it were to happen, you can be sure as hell his contract offrer will be reduced.

A significant reduction (1/2 at best) and they have to sign within the next day. This is only after they beg and offer a public apology to the players, staff and fans of the club.

Having business experience gives me more expertise than someone with none.

Sure. I think you will find most people on here have business experience on here. Some considerable. No need to Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon your own to try and validate your argument. Let your position stand on its own. Its either correct or its not.

Most people on here are businessmen? Haha ok.

I don't think a statement like this is warranted.

I don't like seeing a CEO feeling like they need to explain themselves amidst some criticism.

The hard decisions have been made. Time to knuckle down and start building a very strong squad for next season. Get out there and sign some players and all that whinging and sooking will very quickly go away.

Not criticising the content of the statement, that's all fine.

Probably a good thing you're not a CEO. Communicating to members at a time of uncertainty is important, especially when there's a lot of misinformation flying around.

I would have to agree Nelson. I for one welcomed the CEO's statement. I'm sick and tired of 'journos' writing anything they want without someone setting the record straight.
Someone mentioned 'perception' in another thread. And it's the spiteful comments from these ratbag journos that influence that perception that people outside of the club hold.
So I say "good on ya" Pascoe. Now lets get some signatures and few more wins on the footy field. Well done to the boys for today's victory.

Rubbish yourself.

I am saying we are a target and we need to minimise the ways the media can target us. The perception of unprofessionalism is a big one. If Go was actually a fantastic chair then I would cop it but she is definitely replaceable. It is about being strategic.

I actually run a successful business so if you want to argue with me about talent acquisition strategy, pr and hr matters just be conscious that I am talking from a place of expertise to some degree.

Ok Mac,your point taken, however,I also have a business to run and I will tell you 2 important things that make the business sucessful …..

1..Communication..
2.. Honesty..

These two things are what Pascoe has tried to do in this publication,I don't care for opinion of people per say,I report on their performances..

Go is the chair, but Pascoe is the face of the business,as most CEOs are..I feel he is doing far better than Mayer or Humpty have ever done for this club...

Some people say that what Pascoe said was to get bums on seats...well if he has then that's more revenue for the club, well done Pascoe ...after all Mac,being financial is what sucessful business is all about..

Are we gonna get a statement for everything that's in the media now? Speak less, more action. Get the signatures on paper that will speak louder than any words will

Same page for once gun…

The article today was so poorly constructed with fluff and no real quotes that it didn't need addressing at all and giving it credence. Should of let that one go through to the keeper.

Just keep your ear on the down low SG and keep us up to date with player signings. I think Matulino and Packer provide a decent starting front row, but if Grant and Seumanufagai pack their bags, we still need another, even allowing for Tatola and Felise to step up next year.

Yeah SG. Plse keep us updated…today was just the tonic the club badly needed

Just read this and think it was a pretty good effort at getting on the front foot. Just need more transparency from the club on future list management and I'm pretty happy

Talk from where?

And BTW i hope it isn't true 😕

I am just a regular bloke that has average intelligence with that I appreciate our CEO sending us a note to explain a few things which we appreciated and say thanks ..I do not have to dissect ever sentence to find fault I will leave that to people with a much higher intelligence.
