Looks like there’s going to be a lot of quality and depth in Cup this year, especially in the outside backs. Based on what I expect the NRL team to look like, this is what the round 1 NSW Cup team could be:

1. Mason
2. Staines
3. To’a
4. Naden
5. L. Laulilii
6. Ackland
7. Falls
8. Rahme
9. Hope
10. T. Johannssen
11. Porter
12. Sukkar
13. Matamua

14. Tannous
15. N. Johannssen
16. K. Laulilii
17. L. Broederlow

Feledy, Fataape, Lobb, Saukuru, Craig, Tavana, Max Taotua, Matai, Tumeth, Nicholas, Aho and Tofeano in the mix.

Plenty of players to come back into this side. Mason, Staines, Naden, To’a, Feledy, Faataape, Rahme, Johannssen x2, Porter, Saukuru, Matamua, Sukkar, Laulilii x2, Hope and Broederlow.

Will be almost an entirely different 17.
True, but still just wasn’t the Magpies day today losing all 3 games they played.

Surely that's also the case for whoever they played?

1. Jack Piccirilli

2. Dillon Adrole

3. Simon Tito

4. Mitch Taotua

5. Max Taotua

6. Mikey Tannous

7. Eiden Ackland

8. Vaka Aho

9. Joe Lovodua

10. Jayden Tanner

11. Josh Maree

12. Luke Jack

13. Bailey Hodges

14. Kobie Wilson

15. Cayne Nicholas

16. Marco Moretti

17. Herman Tofaeono

Thanks for the numbers @Sunnycoast_tiger .

A few quick observations ...

-The young fullback Piccirilli had a shocker in defence. Has express pace highlighted by the length of field try near fulltime.
-First 20 mins was good (same as Jersey Flegg) then we lost combinations once rotations started being made.
-Handling was pretty poor, all players guilty of it.
-Mikey Tannous was our best, set up 2 tries including a line break, good long kicking game including a 40/20.
-Vaka Aho ran hard, defended strongly & despite a few handling errors was probably our best big man.
-Herman made some good bustling runs in 1st stint, there is definitely something there if he can continue to work hard.
-Bailey Hodges was ok, a nice offload, effective in defence, played as lock, a few errors but adds some class.
-Dummy halves Joe Lovodua & Kobie Wilson were both good. Wilson can hit in D.
-Eiden Ackland was industrious & full of energy, today's captain. Ok.
- The Taotua twins look likely types but had errors in them & Mitch guilty of some poor discipline (played mainly centre & some backrow in last stanza).
-The rest just seem like very good Ron Massey players tbh. Jirah Momoisea made some nice hitups in his short stint & the left winger Dillon Adrole made a nice finishing try & break down the wing.

Yep. I think our RMC team will be alright this year.
Failure to care, assist and ensure our Ron Massey Cup team is extremely strong and all players applying strong pressure to our NSW Cup team is part of the reason our NSW Cup team have been struggling over the past few seasons.
We have found a few hidden gems such as Tim Johanssen, but there should be more progressing out of our Ron Massey Cup ranks, let’s hope that’s the plan moving forward.

I think there will be. There's plenty of talent in our Ball teams combined and our current Flegg team that won't make KOE next season. I think we are only 20% through our development plan atm.

Thought RMC was for the washed up n wanna be's ,a cul-de-sac of sorts, and wasn't really a stepping stone to NRL .

Will be interesting to see how the KOE Cup side lines up for the trial this Saturday night against Parra. With Benji only carrying 21 players in NRL I would imagine the likes of Tim J, Matamua, Feledy, Saukuru, Porter etc will all see some decent minutes in the starting side.
This game will also be on Bar TV Sports. 7pm Saturday night. Flegg is on at 5pm.

We really didn't play with finesse, showed signs of a more rugged style, was a very simple plan, its a very simple game. Certainly looked like a unit compared to this time last year. Wrong thread was talking about KOE Cup 1st grade trial
