Not 2 halves, was only the last 25 minutes we decided to play.
Great comeback, but as BlackWhiteGold has already stated, they only clicked into gear with 25mins left against very poor opposition.
Hope is no doubt a very good attacking number 9, but generally gets carried a few metres when defending against the big, hard running forwards. Never the less he’s a handy back up.
I still think Mason has plenty of quality and should be kept at fullback in NSW Cup to keep working on catching the high ball as he will be a more than capable back up.
Liles definitely has something, he’s winner in any team he plays in.

Possibly the worst half of rugby league I have ever seen.
Faatape has been our only good player and you can see the potential in Mason despite him being far from his best.
Staines was also way below his best, but at least accelerates fast when he receives the ball:
Hope does some good things, but is a weak defender for a number 9.
The rest of them are not worth any more time and effort.
Mate please stop posting your shit.

4 for Hope, what a comeback!

Regardless this team needs to be hauled over the coals by Benji or Richo for their performance for 60 minutes today, not acceptable & not at the standard we want our club to perform at.

Hopefully though this win kickstarts confidence & momentum!
I don’t think they have ever played the same halves and spine 2 weeks in a row. How are you supposed to learn the plays when you get new players each week. Still great spirt and determination to come back in the second have with 4/5 tries to win

Do you think KOE is about winning or about development? I'd say it is about development mostly. I guess Gardiner wasn't here long enough for anyone he coached to really develop.
does just developing keep them interested tho ? .A few wins would lift the spirits -Sack the coach .hire more nepotism -Bryce Gibbs/Liam Fulton show would shake them up

Probably helps in development to come from a winning environment, most of our 1st grade juniors playing now came from that winning H Mathews team, but there will be some that buck the trend if they are guns.

we as outsiders have no idea,im still seeing things thru Sheens eyes ,shuffle decent KOE players about,2 multi task, not nail down a spot n own it -b the best. Repetitive motion done well ,wins games

Yeah, winning helps. I guess when SG Ball finishes, some will move to Flegg or even Cup and the team might become more competitive.

Yeah, I agree with that. In this case does the winning depend on the coach or the players involved? I reckon if they recruited slightly older players they'd win more in Cup but those guys development is limited compared to the younger players we have. I think it all points at the coach for now if we're talking about winning.

I hate to say it, but I cannot see us finishing any higher than bottom 3 in the NSW Cup competition again in 2025 as it’s clear to see there are only a few players who have the talent and desire required to succeed.
The forward pack are woeful and despite a definite lack of talent across the NSW Cup and Qld Cup competitions this season, our forwards will get blown off the park in most games and we don’t have anyone else in the lower grades who look like they can help.
The only way to change it is release a few players early and recruit better quality.
Two external players whose early season stats are great and have looked the goods when watching them play are Jack Todd and Aaron Schoupp. They always stand out at this level and would significantly boost this team and our NRL depth if signed by us.
Both would be much more chance of getting some NRL game time with us than they are at their current clubs this season and would likely be interested in agitating for an early release if we wanted them.

I think recuitment at Cup level is a step in the right direction this season with experience in Hope, Falls, Charlie Murray, Izaak Thompson & Tanner.

I rewatched the game last night & thought we weren’t too bad. I got caught up in frustration watching it live.

A few areas cost us … Kurt Falls handling errors, frustration with the ref, Mason sin-bin & needing another player who can provide s spark.

Falls will shed the rust as it was his 1st match since last year. Needs to stay as halfback.

Mason provides spark & made a crucial break in 2nd half. Just not sure where his best position will be.

When 21yo Max Liles came into game with 20 to go, he provided some direction & composure. This kid just seems to be a winner!

Not sure why the coach is using Tim Johannssen off the bench tbh. He’s a big minute middle like Terrell May. IMO he’d be better starting with Kit and bring Vaka Aho & Rahme off the bench. I’d be pretty certain that coach is under direction to have Kit start and use him in smaller impact mins atm & slowly develop his tank. Aho is solid but has to cut that regular error & penalty from his game.

I watched Sukkar & Porter closely. Sukkar played left (Sam Fainu side). Both were solid. He doesn’t go out of his way to get involved, stays disciplined to team structure. Stats show he was one of our best forwards made 110m & only missed 1 tackle. Not sure he has the effort plays in him at NRL standard but maybe he’s one that adapts to the level he plays at.

When Naden returns from injury, he will make a big difference if he plays in this team.
