A few stats from Saturday's game ....
Run Metres / Post Contact Metres
Lobb 167 m / 41m (5 tackle breaks)
Faataape 115m / 47m
Staines 115m / 30m
Feledy 101m / 25m (5 tackle breaks, 4 missed tackles)
Mason 98m / 31m (7 tackle breaks, 2nd highest behind Haze Dunster)
Best Magpies Forward - Porter 76m / 25m
NB. Only 2 forwards ran over 100m the whole game (Wiremu Greig & Tony Mataale for the Eels)
Tackles
Porter 34 (4 missed, 3 ineffective)
Johannssen 31 (97% tackle efficiency)
Aho 26
Mason 25
Lovodua 24
Bad - Tony Sukkar had 7 Missed Tackles & 4 Ineffective Tackles (worst in these stats for the game)
Good - Kit Laulilii played 32 mins (20+12), 74 run metres (31 post contact), 15 tackles (1 miss), very fast 2.78 sec play the ball speed (2nd fastest of the game behind Bryce Cartwright).
TBH moving forward unless something significantly shifts, the only players NRL-worthy in this team are Staines, Faataape (depth centre only), Latu Fainu, Mason, Kit Laulilii, Tim Johannssen, Tristan Hope (depth hooker only) & Porter (depth backrower if stocks are depleted).
Vaha Aho could be that slow burn type so interested to see how he progresses in performance through this season.
