Some good performances stats wise but against an ordinary team. Waaay too many missed tackles against that Knights outfit…

Interesting stats but if anything it shows why you don't rely on stats. Rankin was ordinary. Taylor was great.

Brooks and Moses were pretty similar today. At the moment they simply aren't great players and maybe they will never be.

Dont normally have a look at the stats but wanted make sure i was seeing things correctly regarding Lawrence and Halatau. They really did play poorly today. 8 missed tackles for an edge backrower in Lawrence isnt good enough. And i blame our poor middle defence today on Halatau who dropped off plenty and took his time getting back on some occasions. I think time has finally caught up with Dene.

I agree ..without even looking at stats it was Rowdy's worst game since moving to the back row…It seemed even Brooks saved his butt a few times...Will be interesting when a few more come back happens with Halatau...

Aloiai impressed starting IMO..his second stint went a long way in us winning..

Rowdy's defence today was poor, some of his misses were laughable in fact. I like Aloiai, you can see the determination in the young bloke everytime he hits the ball up.

Yeh i think Brooks did save Chris a few times with some great defence.

Really like Aloiai. I dont think it was a complete coincidence that we were our strongest at the start and then end…the 2 periods he was on. Would be nice to see JT stick with him on the right edge for few weeks to see how he goes.

I do worry about where this teams future. Lawrence was ordinary, and despite the stats Woods looked like a log at times.

Good metres from Rankin

Also, given that E.T played some time at hooker and did fairly well, that should be it for Dene

Where does Rankin go when teddy's back… It sure better not be to the wing.

yeah look, I like Rankin, he reminds me of John Morris as he always puts in, just way out of position. So, umm 5/8?, there does need to be some serious changes in our halves at the moment.

Maybe left centre and give Simona time in reserve grade however I have no confidence with his goal kicking at all…..great effort by jac to improve the position all in vain

Time for Lawrence and Dene to start thinking about which retirement village they're going to finish up at

Lawrence? He has been our best all season apart from yesterday's game. I love how people on here jump on a player after one bad performance.

Rankin gets dropped. He has been playing well but he isn't better than any other player in the backline within any position. He will get another chance and if he kills it he gets to keep that role.

IMHO the jury is still out on Lawrence, he has improved this year - but his lateral movement is suspicious (as shown yesterday), however, we cannot dismiss him after one bad game - he is still better than Sironen
Lawrence was with Sue our best 2nd rower, however, far away from our best player this year.
Our best players were: Tedesco, Woods, Seumanufagai. :sign:
