Potter has no oomph

he has no idea, iam sick of our one out hit ups, after watching manly and there plays we have nothing, it is shameful to watch. Sack him now and we may still make the finals.
 
I changed my mind about 6 weeks ago about Potter ..total bland type of footy with no result. I will be disappointed if he is given another contract .
 
I'm in now ! Potter needs to get these boys fired up . I don't think he's got the people skills required to do the job . When our first try was disallowed potter should've broke the window !

I have to agree guys!!! Potter is a nice person but he is "not" a first grade football coach. I do not accept the usual excuses of "referring decisions" as the reason we got beaten. Tonight the team was pathetic and he cannot get them motivated to meet the opposition head-on and dominate them. There has to be another way please ??
 
We just have no spark, flair or creativity in attack. And no hunger, desperation or grit in defence.
We had nearly a full strength side tonight, but some of our options with the ball and our defensive efforts were disgraceful. Yeah we copped plenty of dud calls, but the way we tackled tonight was embarrassing.
 
Joey johns said we looked tired… The boys are not showing enlightened passion or desire... They are not turning up the last few weeks...

I said weeks ago he picks and coaches team that he thinks has a chance of not getting beaten, rather than winning. Its his whole mindset is negative,I have not seen one set play or attacking plan that he has put in place.

Austen and Brooks may be able to conjure up some magic but who in the hell is going to cash in on it. Iam sorry but in 2014 you can not win games with a backline of plodders.I would imagine he is as good as gone as coach now and thank god we did not rush out and sign him weeks ago

We are playing to flat in attack . We are not giving ourselves enough time or space . Everything looks messy . Our ball handling is a complete disgrace . Our kick chase is crap … I could write a novel !

The problem in my opinion is that we need size to match it with the better teams, and we have size in Ava, Kapow and Gavet. The problem is that they are loose cannons. They lack class but they are full of agression. They run up out of the line, they run accross field, they play unorthodox and that creates holes.

However, when they were all on the field we had go forward and we had enthusiasm. These guys are classic rocks or diamonds….ok maybe not diamonds but really nice looking quartz.

I don't know if Potter is to blame, I still like him. Fact is we are still an immature team and it shows on the field. Too many penalties and missed tackles. You don't beat the best teams like that.

On the positive, I though Nofo, Sirro and Lawrence had much better games. If we had some second phase play and ran deeper I really thought we could get over the top of their second rate pack of forwards. However if you cannot complete a set you are not going to win games of footy.
 
its time to put pressure on mayer to make sure potter is not resigned, he has to go and I would ljke to seeit now rather than later. give the job to payten or webster or the tea lady anyone other than potter.

All our problems all go back to very mediocre coaching.
 
i agree he has to go, i have tried to defend him for a long time, we have no attack what so ever, picking Keith L every week and does nothing..he is only 1 win ahead of last year and with our matches ahead there is a fare chance we can lose them all, we need to bring someone else in, maybe Kidwell but something has to be done fast!!
 
Most of our problems come from dropped balls, stupid penalties and poor decision making.
You can only blame a little of the last one on Potter.
 
guys we were never on that game after hayne gifted them an 18pt lead. Our combinations need time and we were playing premiership favourites. Patience pls, we competed for long periods but lack polish…. we are 1-2 yrs away from being genuine premiership threats....but from what i have seen we have more promises than any up and coming teams, despite our obvious weaknesses

I see ur glass is always 1/2 full, but can u put up with that crap for the next 2 seasons, on paper our forwards should have killed them not laid down like dog shit, they are a poorly coached side that fail to put in any great effort.
