Premier backs renewal of suburban NRL grounds

if they upgrade LO and have the COE at Concord I think it will be more than 3 games a year played at LO
CSS 4 games
1 Tamworth
remainder at LO

That won’t happen. They couldn’t afford to do that for corporate reasons

But the Premier is a crazy Tigers fan... yet another with tremendous power who reportedly loves the team and will do nothing for them.

They’d have to do a significant upgrade of LO which isn’t even in the conversation.

we will end up at ANZ under a retractable roof anyway, it won't be campbletown or Liverpool. I'd say dogs and Tigers will play out of ANZ

That’s what I think will happen as well.

Not the best viewing experience but will suit the corporate needs and those who want seats only

Never said an upgrade of the ground - only mentioned the facilities which suggests some minor funding to get the basics up to scratch.

It is also the most central ground for us.

Campbelltown, Parramatta and LO aren’t as easily accessible

get a Leagues club out at homebush

Tigers will never base ourselves out of Olympic Park. They know how much fans hate it there. Of course facilities and transport are fine. It's the 60000 empty seats that cause the issue.

I'm a fan (and a member) and I don't hate it at Olympic Park. Do you think a crowd of 7000 at Campbelltown is a better deal for the club?

Of course financially it's better for the club to play at new stadia, like ANZ, Commbank and Allianz stadium but those stadiums are all too big. Having 30000-65000 empty seats just drains the atmosphere.

While some like it, most prefer a fuller, smaller stadium.

I know this going to come across as smarmy and condescending, but that's not the intention. All you had to do was add three words, "in my opinion", between "it," and "most" and I would have thought, "yeh ok, that may be true" and not bothered to comment.

Without that qualifier, it seems like you are reporting on data or information that the rest of us don't have. It is just your opinion? Yeh?

No the club and the NRL did research, fan surveys etc. Fans and players generally hate ANZ. fans feel too far from the action and there's crap atmosphere. Player's feel like they're playing in a morgue. There's a reason clubs were abandoning the ground as much as they could afford to.

Here's a left field thought people are saying Stadium Australia lacks atmosphere due to lack of crowds as we know Events are not cheap to attend these days and a lot of families have to keep a eye on their budget the club should seriously look at reducing the price of entry to SA to make it attractive for people to attended which could inturn double the size of the crowd the area behind the in goals are normally fairly empty these could be be offered at a good discount

While not impossible, I'd be surprised to see any development of Leichhardt Oval.

I personally know an influential councillor who absolutely despises footy.
