Rd 18 live game discussion

Unfortunate that Latrine has played his token 10 games for 2026 and is off riding quad bikes in Taree. Souff Sinney needed some trademark head-slamming dog-shots tonight but all Walker could produce was an embarrassing kick in the shins. LOL@Souffs
poor ole Latrell was the poster boy of all us downtrodden, funny how wheel turns.

I was yelling obstruction before Jenkins got the ball, and then yelling double movement on the first replay.

The Bunker ignores the whole thing and only looks at the put down. What rubbish.

That obstruction was as clear as day but not many especially in commentary seem to talk about it.

Why cant we do these shifts so well.....souths do it time and again its so dangerous....speed...we have little
All 13 men moving forward on different lines with genuine speed.

When we do these shifts, 4 of our forwards are just lingering on in the background or have run a 2m decoy next to the dummy half. Those decoys do nothing when doing a spread. The line gets held up for half a second and then they just slide.

So Souths 18 year old is killing it and he’s not the first one this season. Why can’t our young blokes play as well as this?
Good coaches at younger levels makes a big difference.

The better the coaches, the more the coaches, the more individual coaching each player gets. They learn professionalism and education.

We get players that have genuine skill like Makasini, Laulili, Roberts etc but they're still way too raw because they haven't been coached to NRL level before they get to it.

I almost feel like we are doing them a disservice by making them play NRL without training them for it first..

Having part time coaches in reserve grade will do that,we are so far behind every other club because of the inaction or quasi sabotage of our owners in not spending real money and providing support to our football club.

The ref and bunker were so busy deciding whether Milky dropped it that they missed an absolutely blatant double movement.
What I said to my partner when it happened, he was tackled and held onto by the defender, the elbow of the arm carrying the ball fully grounded he then lifted the arm and extended it over the line and double movement penalty should have been result, 2 of this blokes tries should have been awarded as no tries
But, hey its penrith ????

I dont understand how they did not rule double movement...could the argument be that it was all one movement i.e his ball carrying arm never stopped? If so thats not my understanding of the rule. It was obvious he extended his arm and planted the ball. Im genuinely interested in how they explain it.

The NRL will probably bury their head in the sand like they usually do.There is a reason Anusley stopped doing his Monday briefings and the cynic inside me believes he didn't want to publicly acknowledge his team of ref's get things woefully wrong far too often especially the one in the bunker.

His whole body stopped bar his arm after it touches the ground....compared to the roosters one they were showing that was all momentum and his whole body ended up ingoal
