Lots of familiar faces... John Dorahy Blocker Sirro Benny Garry Jack, spud Carroll, big mal, Peter Wynn, Langers, Turvey... And many old head I sorta recognised but couldn't put a name to

Nice service, funny at times... Tommy was loved & respected by so many

Joe Cool: "every team needs a man like Tommy... He wouldn't say, go. & bash em.... He'd say 'come with me and we'll bash em'

Boyd not there?

Boyd was there.

Ah OK. I thought he may have been mentioned as well, led me to believe he may not have attended.

I didn't see him but I just saw a picture of him on Facebook in attendance.

Did he have a beard? I saw a pic of Graeme O'Grady on fox leagues Facebook page but called him Boyd.

Mistaken identity then

Graeme O'Grady (grey goatee and a bit of a mullet) was there with Col Murphy.... I didn't see Les Boyd and he wasn't mentioned... doesn't mean he wasn't there tho

I noticed the bodgey jersey on the stage when I first got there...
... Then reading about today on ABC. COM the photo has had a proper magpies jumper draped over the first one

I hope someone can come up with a reasonable explanation of why that jersey was on display as part of the memorial to Tommy Raudonikis today.
If not... its nothing but a disgraceful insult to the most loved Mighty Magpie of all time...a fair dinkum :100:% Fibro.

On 360 last night they said that the entries Wests Tigers squad attended the memorial.

I think that's a nice demonstration of the culture Madge is building

The team was all there.

I notice that the old-type jersey displayed at Tommy's memorial is on sale at NRLshop.com, being a Wesst Magpies jersey from WW2 - maybe it was to demonstrate Tommy's fight for his club, his mates, his life ....

No it’s not the Jersey. The one at the memorial has white cuffs. It’s from the late 60s. It’s the same as I have.

OOPS!

G'day T1 : please dont think I'm having a go at you personally as I realise you are just trying to throw some light on the subject, but this is a... rite old load of codswallop.
Did you ever see Tommy play in this jersey?
Did anyone ever see Tommy play in this jersey?
I know I didnt.
Did you ever see Tommy play a in a Wests Tigers jersey in the NRL?
I didnt.
So why was a Wests Tigers jersey showing the 7 dedicated on the day, particularly as it didnt even show Tommy's name on it?
Can anyone give a reasonable explanation why it was a Wests Tigers jersey?
That jersey meant diddly-squat to me.. in relation to Tommy... and I am deeply offended, as I reckon :100: % of older Wests Magpies fans like me would/should be offended also.
Is our club trying to erase the Wests Magpies side of our amalgamation?
Tommy fought for and shed blood for the Wests Magpies Jersey all of us older Rugba League fans would recognise and love.
In Australia's most recent armed conflicts overseas, Our Servicemen and Servicewomen fought, shed blood and died under the Australian flag, not the English flag or the Eureka flag, so why is a Wests Magpies jersey from WW2 being honoured?
I reckon Tommy would have every rite to call the famous "cattle dog" on the Wests Tigers jersey as well as this jersey.
Ps...Wests is spelt...Wests...not Wesst.

Champion @MAGPIES1963, mate you're spot on, I would not ever wish disrespect to either Tommy or the Wests Magpies club.
My post was wanting the best for this, in the absence of any formal advice from whoever organised the memorial.
And yesterday's memorial was indeed a celebration of everything Tommy brought to the game and the community.
This jersey should have been the 60s/70s version of the black and white jersey adorned with the famous magpie emblem.
