Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

- Not just fans…
Players, Officials, Coaches...

I don't mind Farah too much, But I really don't get all the Kafuffle...
Yeah, He can play hooker - But so can a heap of other people...

We have been also rans for that long, That I am numb. He's got the tap on the shoulder (Like a thousand club legends before him) and it's time. There's no point arguing....

At some point everyone gets a dose of reality...
- Did he honestly think he was gonna keep playing at that level for that money with that attitude for as long as he desired?
Even now, He says "IF" I go, It will be on my terms...

News flash Faffy.
- No it won't. The people who run the company will make that decision... Not you.

Now thats the thing batboy, for to long I think Robbie thought he "WAS THE COMPANY"…..

Great player, but as you said he has been tapped on the shoulder like many before him.....

If he moves on elsewhere next yr, it will be on the clubs terms, not his. The club are the ones who initiated this process by telling him to explore his options. Without them telling him that, he'd see out his contract. So, its the club that's dictating everything that's happening. Maybe its Farah's way of trying to exhibit more control over the situation than he really has.

I just read and giggle at all the replies, re-replies, re-re-replies, re-re-re-replies etc etc on this topic. And it's all the same people. Do you guys post at night, get up in the morning and read replies to your post and non-stop type/send all day and all night

I'm sure you'd like it to be that way but the reality is different. That unfortunate alleged comment that was made in the presence of Farah and his manager makes things "sticky".

Why would i like that way? Again, it seems any comment that isn't glorifying Farah, people perceive it as you having contempt for him.

The club are the ones that have the control here.

With all that stuff aside…

We've had Robbie Farah for 11 years since we won the comp with no success....
So what difference do people think his departure will make now?

We're equal last this year with Farah, 13th last year, 15th the year before, And a massive 10th in 2012...
Next year he won't be here - And what?
We'll be exactly the same (At worst)

Sorry batboy, crap comparison.
Cameron is one a salary cap cheat, two has top quality players around him always ie; state of origin, cronk, slater, inglis, belamy, etc, etc.
Hardly fair comparison to our young side and the crap rejects we have not to mention our great coach!!!
Farah has out played Cameron when they play each other at club level, more times than I can remember. Cameron smith has a very high opinion of Farah, it was probably his comments that got Farah picked for SOO.
Also when Farah signed the contract he was playing at that level, so not fair to compare the last few seasons when Taylor has instructed him to not play his normal game.

I'm not going to go as far as batboy and say Farah has been crap for 4 years, but Cameron Smith is in comfortably better form than Farah and has been for about 2 years.

Perhaps in 2007-2011 you'd have a strong argument, Farah was top of his game, but Smith is still there and Farah is not.

Don't get me wrong, I love Farah and I don't like Smith, but you are in a very small rugby league minority if you think Farah is performing anywhere near the level of Cameron Smith for the last few years.

You surely realise the irony of adding your 10c to this thread?

Perhaps you should return in 10 pages and remind the rest of us that we are wasting our time.

Whatever side you believe to be right , ultimately, if he goes somewhere else **it will be on his terms[/b as he has a contract to play for WTs.
They can't change that. nor can they force him to go anywhere, he doesn't want to go They can stop him from going to another club if they decide they want to keep him.
Should he decide to stay, all they can do is not play him in first grade. As long as he complies with his contract he can do that if he so desires
So he will be the one who decides what will happen .**

I reckon it was moss call to cut farah… And I bet he would of presented the board and Taylor lots of facts to back up his decision.

Marina's alleged partner said it was the Coaches, don't know where he'd get the info though

At the moment, is there any substantial info about, any clubs showing any interest in having Robbie with them in 2016.
Not fluff, real solid info ? :unamused:
I'm getting the impression, it's a hurry up and wait scenario.

I'm sure the gm of football had some input.

And furthermore….
I have mentioned it prior - But the only fans that rate him is Tiger Fans....

Everyone else hates him.

If Cam Smith was off contract tomorrow, There would be minimum 6 Clubs clearing the decks at the drop of a dime for him.
Farah has been outed for a month or more and there's no bites...

The harsh truth. Taking nothing away from what he's done on the field, but he'd be on of the most disliked players to opposition fans. Some just can't see outside the Wests Tigers universe, so that's impossible to fathom. That's not a criticism of the guy, just a plain fact.

Thats a fair point and one ive experienced with mates and other people who follow league, he isnt well liked or even respected. Considered a big head and all ego.

But if you want to go using that as ammunition in this argument you also need to accept that outside of the 50% of Wests Tigers fans who have thrown their support behind him Jason Taylor is a laughing stock of a coach who no one rates and no one who is serious about their footy would want anywhere near their club.

Fair is fair

No offence, but read the post how would smith be going at Newcastle? Average!
More importantly how would he go under the great maestro 'Taylor' . Being hamstrung told how to play, just pass the ball, etc, etc…
He would have his ass...
You are comparing apples to oranges, again not fair!
I admit farah hasn't been playing well the past few years, but I think for some valid reasons. If he had a descent coach that encouraged him or dare I say motivate him, things would be different!
As mentioned before by someone else farah has muffed up or overplayed his hand due to low options from our halves!

And the other comparison would be , if Taylor was sacked and went on the open market, which club would pick him up???
Ummmm nobody…...

The only reason he got the gig at the Tigers was because he was the cheapest. We had no money to spend. We are the only club that makes these dumb decisions. The only thing that saves us from the spoon every year is we produce decent juniors.
