if mayer and the board back in 2013 had of actually let potter be a coach and respected his thoughts on rebuilding the club,we wouldn't be in this mess.

so farah hears about potter wanting only 2 years ,has a dummy spit and tells tallis he is a crap coach.
maybe i'm reaching with that one.
but from what i've seen of farah the last few years doesn't do much to sway me from thinking this way.

hard spot for the new comers to be in.
if i was on the board i certainly would have wanted to hear more when it was first thought to move farah on.
i've felt this way myself the last 14 or so months.

i lived through joe montana being traded to the chiefs.

and i will live through this pathetic circus with farah.

Hey Bon, just as an aside, you are the champion on this forum when it comes to highlights videos.

Any chance you could make a vid of these 128 pages ???

The club has too many clowns, too many chiefs and a lot of the Indians are leaving.

Question-

If releasing Galloway/Blair etc from their contract reduces the cap impact-

If the Tigers fully pay out Robbie Farah's remaining 2 years, would that remove his contract value from the cap?

I understand that if another team picks him up that the Tigers pay the difference between the contract values, but if the Tigers fully pay out Farah's contract- doesn't that make his contract null & void?

Wouldn't that clear the value of his contract off the salary cap?

Not sure on that one….but I read somewhere that Liam Fulton was still under our cap this year even after retiring from the game. Not sure if that is gospil

Surely that can't be true- a player retires & they count against the cap??

I can't see how they could hold the value of a fully paid out contract against the club, if releasing a player to another club lowers your salary cap hit (not sure if that made sense).

You would have to think that a contract, if fully paid out to it's value, has fulfilled it's obligation by the club & should therefore not count against the cap.

On Fulton we applied for Cap relief when he retired mid season and it wasn't granted…He was not in the Cap for 2015..there was an article I'll try and dig it up....as he retired 2014...same as Justin Hodges is retirering with a year to run on his contract with the Broncos wont be in their Cap next season........

Paying out Farah would make him a free agent and clear the Cap space...

Should do, but it would take 2.2 m ( or thereabouts) out of the clubs coffers

I listened to the actual Sam Ayoub interview, and I can say its been sensationalised and blown up by the media (surprise surprise) .

He basically just said that he has all conversations documented and when that eventually comes out it will embarrass some people. No mention of the phrase 'shame file' or anything like that.

He basically said there has been no developments since this issue first reared its head, and said at this stage Robbie will be honouring the 2 years left of his contract.

Yes I listened to it too, and people who are speculating what it was about, and now influencing the thoughts of others should probably listen to it to or say nothing. What did come out which seems the real frustration for the Farah side is the relationship Farah has with the playing group and that they all want him there.

126 pages, and we're still whinging and whineing ?

Lol… To go with all the whinging and whineing, we are also a bunch of judgemental know -it-alls.

Spot on, it is it astonishing to realise how many 'in-the-know' experts frequent this site

I think a lot of them somehow went off their meds….. :sunglasses:

There are several posters on this forum that agree Farah should go, and for good reason.
I'm clearly one.
I've just been reading random media BS about "fans rally behind Farah" etc etc. There is no mention that the "rally" consisted of 30 people with mysteriously supplied professionally made banners, as well as cut and tape efforts straight from the local primary school.
We need to support West Tigers Management with a fgff Farah rally. Preferably while he's still swanning it in Bali. Give his manager something to think about. I could get a rally of 1 going here but seriously doubt it would make the media. Any takers in the big smoke?

The Martin Taupau thread may provide some competition. It is less than 24 hours old and already up to page 14.

No matter Telltails. Once someone gets a bee up their bonnet…well then there's very litle chance anything will change their mind.
Gotta love our WT forum. Never a dull moment on here.

I’d be very interested to read first-hand accounts of what the Club’s players feel about Taylor and his coaching skills. It would be even more interesting for the younger players to compare his coaching, people skills and communication skills against those of say Matt Head, Todd Payten and Brett Kimmorely.

I’d also enjoy hearing the scuttlebutt from player managers about their feelings on the WTs’ club, Taylor and the Club’s chances of attracting top talent.

Please, can we talk about first grade coaches and coaches that are serious.

Head criticising the Tigers - good one.
Payton - white anting Tigers coaches - brilliant.
Kimmorley - if only he spent less time with the media.

I'd enjoy players, playing for the coach the club appointed. That is what they are being paid to do. Not too much to ask.

It does not mean a thing that you you don't like him.
