On a side note. If you were on these guys money would you go to Bali?

Said the same thing to my Wife :roll , wouldn't touch the place if you gave me a free Ticket same as Thailand .
Tight arse Holidays .

The Cook Islands will do me for a couple of weeks

Just so no one takes offence by my post "Tight arse Holidays " was referring to the players that are over there and not to anyone on this Forum that might enjoy visiting Bali or Thailand.
Not my cup of tea and I haven't been there (besides a stop over of 2 hours in Bangkok in route to England).

I don't think he has overruled anybody however, is being pragmatic and intelligent.
The approach utilised by Taylor to bully, intimidate and damage personal reputations has diminished the value of the player they were trying to remove in Farah. I think the biggest issue to be spotlighted is the vindictive and calculated methods of Taylor in this sorry episode. He is no leader of men.

I think both parties know Farah is going and would rather it look like it was Farah's call. The club saves face and Farah looks like he's in control.

Is Robbie trying to take Terry Hill's title of King of the kids?

I took some time to actually read the transcript

Asked if Farah would wear Tigers colours next year should he wish to stay, Pascoe said: “Yeah”.
“We will honour contractual commitments but in saying that Robbie has been given permission to investigate opportunities at other clubs.“He’s the current captain of the club and the life member of the club.“I hope everyone rests assured that the decision to let Robbie negotiate with other clubs, if that’s what he chooses to do, was not made lightly.”/quote]

I fail to see where you got the idea that he was meaning anything other than the consistent line of the club. Business as usual in trying to rid the club of Farah for mine, as "the decision …...............was not made lightly".

Not sure where people are getting the idea that Taylor's position is untenable based off of what Pascoe said. He basically just reiterated the clubs position that Farah is free to leave if he finds another club.

Exactly. He is stepping in to force a deal…...cause that is what CEO's do.

Nup

The WT's walked up to that line in the sand a month ago and just took a step backwards yesterday

Remind me who runs this club again , the players and some rogue fans threatening not to renew memberships ??

It's not a step backwards, just laying the path to negotiation.

I agree with 'formerguest', that says to me; There were good reasons Wests Tigers took the drastic step of releasing the team Captain.

I don't read anything there that says Taylor's position is untenable.

Re: Pascoe making a call that reverses Taylor and the board's decision. I thought I read that he would not be making a call about anything until he had familiarised himself with various situations. If so, it's unlikely he'd make a call like that so soon, especially with Farah still away.

The part Tyga quoted was almost word for word what Go herself said a month ago. The CEO isn't going to undermine the decision the board and JT made on his third day in the role. If you're basing your JT is untenable claims off quotes like that, you're grasping at straws.

Pascoe is just being a Professional, he's not throwing anyone under the bus, while things are getting sorted IMO

How I've interpreted his Statement :
Being fair to Farah….he has a Contract and will be honoured, if he decides to stay.
Being fair to Jason Taylor.....So he doesn't embarres the Coach he says "the ball is in Farah's court and it was a decision not made lightly and is allowed to negotiate with other Clubs ".

To be honest Pascoe doesn't state as things being untenable.
Once Robbie comes back from his holidays, I'm sure things will come to a conclusion like Men. So we hope but nothing will surprise me 😱pen_mouth:

The ball has been in Farah's court from day 1\. Everyone whose supported him has argued that from the beginning. Saying that isn't saving JT from anything.

Anyone that wants to paint this as a 'slap down' of JT is simply reading whatever they want from a fairly bland statement.

There was nothing new in what Pascoe said.

Clearly the stance of the club is that Robbie Farah is STILL excess to requirements.

All the talk of how unprofessional JT has been through this is an escalation of anger from some fans. There has been very little 'unprofessionalism' on the part of JT here. In fact, most of what people want to lay at his door has been speculation.

I still claim the only one that has been genuinely unprofessional is Ayoub for not informing his client at the original time of finding out the clubs decision, and then by continually placing Robbie or himself in the media spotlight to cause trouble.

Relax Guys,

We have unfair dismissal laws in Australia. This is covering Bases to avoid legal ramifications.

Robbie will be at the Tigers unless he can find a better deal for 2016-17.

For the clubs sake I know what I would like to see happen.

Where did the CEO say that Taylor's position is untenable….?

Its called reading between the lines

Give it a go some day

You seem to be living in the land of Unicorns and fairies…read between the lines  ...

Remind me again what happened to the last CEO that decided it was a good idea to involve himself in Football decisions and operations and how that worked out for the previous Coach...

Pascoe has been here 5 minutes and all of a sudden is going to over rule the decisions made by the Football dept and board.....righto more tin foil for Happy please....

been a member for many years and i come on here to read the scandals and have a laugh (no offence, it's like reading women's weekly, for men).

i just go to matches and love it, lose or win, it's all part of life, for me 15 years ago it was about taking the kids to the games, luckily Benji, Robbie, Hodgo, and bunch of others came along and we had a miracle win.
So, my point is that we need to treat people better. it's only me and wife now and we go to all the games but this whole drama is starting to destroy my love for the game and the tigers.

DO THE RIGHT THINGS WESTS TIGERS…if we are in a building stage (again) well let Robbie stay next year, bring through the young men, give him the farewell he deserves, and give the club good karma.

This post was brought about by a message i got from the people who do the payments for the membership, apparently my membership re-news if i don't respond...hahaha.

for the first time in my life, i'm not sure i want to invest my time in something that holds very little ethics and morels .

hope it works out guys.

Good post Icon. Totally agree!

You just can't sack coach after coach and expect the elite on will coming knocking. Sooner or later coaches have to be given leeway to fail, and so far JT has and he has failed. Hypothetically, sacking him next season. Which many have called for would give us our 3rd coach in 3 yrs. And considering there's no one available it would leave us with another noob. And if he fails, what then? Do we go for 4 in 4 yrs? I don't think any elite coach would come here no matter what you paid him.

No need to pay big bucks for a coach. Bring in the Walker bros. Love their style of play.
