Pascoe must have lined up Ivan Cleary.
If this article is true he has to know backflipping on Farah means parting ways with Taylor.
The situation is untenable and it looks like the reason Brooks and Moses have extended their option date.

You're clearly lapping up the spin. Things are not what they seem.

He's asked for a release, it's over. Doesn't matter how we got here, Farah asking for a release says that he's finally realized that the club is prepared to move on, and he's finally going to do the honourable thing and move on. 2 months too late, but better late than never. Now Farah doesn't want to be here. Clubs never knock back the release request of a player, because why have a player who doesn't want to be there? Especially a player who they've already been trying to move on for months before hand. Its obvious its a ploy from the club. Don't buy into it.

Farah doesn't want to leave the Tigers but he has been shafted in a disgraceful fashion.
The club has mismanaged this from the start. Can you blame the bloke the Tigers stated they would pay him out in full as it was about team culture? Then denied the release. Now a 4 year deal? The release request from Farah is on the proviso all money owed is paid in full. 2.4m. I see Taylor being sacked as the only way of retaining Brooks, Moses,Tedesco.

There is a split in the club and amongst us between Taylor and Farah problem is our best stars are aligned with Farah. You can't lose the best players coach has to go.

How do you know this? Brooks and Moses are signed for 2016 with a highly lucrative option for 2017\. Tedesco is signed until end of 2018!

What players have come out and stated they are aligned to Farah over the club? Farah will most likely be retired by the time any of these players are off contract anyways.

Tedesco is signed to the end of 2017 I believe.
Tedesco was off to Canberra before Farah got involved. He has publicly admitted Farah changed his mind. He is also managed by Ayoub. There isn't a chance in the world Tedesco resigns if Taylor is coach and Farah, moses, brooks move on.

Brooks and Moses just extended options that were paying higher than their market value. if I am correct they were all holidaying together in Bali and seem to be close + the reported meeting with Mr Grange and Farah last week.

Aside from taylor no player in demand will resign with WT if the same management and coach are in place. We are the laughing stock of the league. Farah is just a symptom no the core of the problem.

bye bye Jason taylor

What 3 coaches in four years.?…that will solve the problem...what about bye bye Farah....I love the Wests Tigers as a club, always have..I have seen plenty come and go,players and coaches and we are no better off by playing the blame game...hard decisions have to be made if we are to be competative...this is the start by moving on the last of the boys club...

Brooks, Moses and Tadesco all want a new coach

Have they told you this?

Do you know, if they, or any other members of the squad have approached the CEO and told him this ?
Or is this all hearsay ?

I dont know if you understand contractual law, though if the Tigers were to pay out Farah in full, they could just as easily stipulate that if they are to pay out the contract duration, that he is unable to play at all for the same time frame. A move that would all but end his career. They could drop him to reggies and make him 18th man for 2 yrs…

People are under the misconception that Farah has to play to get his money, thats not true at all.

Its only posturing by Farah and Ayoub, an unreasonable demand, and shows a weakened position from himself that he has in fact found another club.

You are correct they could demand he not play for the length of his contract understand contracts well.
How do you think that would look like in the court of public opinion? They would get killed in the media if they stopped him from playing. The issue is he has found various clubs but they are well runs and want him for free. Remember the Tigers are the ones that killed his reputation and stated it was all about culture. The Tigers did a job on him but in the process reduced his market value. Possibly the dumbest moving on of a player in history. Fancy trying to punt a player with 2 years to go on a massive contract + he's owed $400k. :brick:

You just said it, Brooks and Moses took the largest contract. Why wouldnt they sign with us again if we are paying "overs", they can stay with their mates.

Wasnt the Bali holiday where most of the club went in the off season?

Yes Farah helped with Tedesco situation, however again how do you know whether Teddy re-signs or not despite who is there. We are talking 3 seasons away, who knows what his motives will be then!

Heres a story which may or may not be true:

Robbie Farah calls up Brooks and Moses and offers to catch up for dinner, the boys are like sure if you are paying. Mr ICAC just happens to be there and sits himself down where he advises Farah on how successful he has been in life. Follow me Robbie, Im the one that advised Balmain leagues to develop the Rozelle site, Im the one that brought down my friend the Premier. Oh also do you mind if we "leak" this to the press…

The discussion and guess work is kinda interesting, but ultimately no one knows what is going on and I doubt the truth of the whole situation will ever come out.

Robbie will write a book and we'll still only get part of what happened.

No matter what though, no player or coach is bigger than the club.

This can be all sorted out amicably if the parties are prepared to be FAIR.

The Tigers should have handled this better from the start but Farah IMO has done everything he could to play the VICTIM.

The way Farah played in 2015 you can't say he is worth a $1M a year player. I think management had the right to say to him…..."for the money you are on we expect much much more from you."

No-one likes being told "your not wanted" but sometimes the truth is difficult to hear. When Benji left the club he had already been a shadow of the player he once was. He was overweight, lazy and looked like he never got out of 1st or 2nd gear. And to confirm that NZ rugby quickly told him he was free to go elsewhere as well. The result....he signed a 2.5 year contract with the dragons for about $700k in total ( thats about $300k a year ) so his so called true market value was quickly found out. ( remember he walked out on the Tigers $700k a year x 3 year deal ).....his management can only be compared to the george costanza NBC deal...."holding out for less".

Anyway whatever happens here happens.......if brooks and moses are silly enough to go elsewhere.....then go, for $600k a year we can buy plenty of proven playmakers.

Fancy at 21 years of age players already dictating to the club who they will and wont play for.

Huh…whatta you mean Dave...this will never end...After retirement he will become the Wests Tigers Benny Elias and I'll turn this thread into War and Peace..Vol 1 thru 7...

Agree 100%. Problem is no one in demand ever signs with the Tigers. We only have a chance through Junior Development. Given all these kids are close off the field and talented, retaining this crop is the only chance the club has.

Tigerdave you are spot on..no one is bigger than the club…yet the Farah fans who will not support or rejoin the club if he goes absolutely staggers me...he has had a good career with the Tigers, but he is no different to anyone else in the NRL who has to move on...and I couldnt care less if he is a club legend,so is Hodgo and he moved on....

Luke Lewis was one of the Panthers greatest ever players, captain, a premiership and SOO player like Farah and he moved on with an absolute minimum of fuss. Compare how he's conducted himself compared to Farah. Chalk and cheese.

Tyga…...winning brings success. If we can make the 8 in 2016 or be much more competitive then players will come to us.....with the amount of talent coming through all clubs, players are always being squeezed out and at the end of the day if you want to play NRL you go to a club that has a spot for you. Once all the rubbish & infighting is finished with.....we will start the climb up.

Thaiday benching and Captaincy hand over, Jennings to Roosters, Wallys tap on the shoulder, Fatty moved on from Manly… there is a long list of big names who have gone through similar situations, with class.

Agree…..penrith had a mass clear out of their so called "club legends" and it was all done reasonably amicably......the players went onto better things and Penrith were able to move on with their rebuilding.....only Penrith's massive injury tolls in recent years has let them down.

There should have been no reason that the Tigers and Farah could not have parted as " mutual friends" these things happen everyday in business and the NRL. Its only become nasty because Farah wanted to dig his heels in.
