Yeah, the centre pairing would cut us to bits. Not to mention the halfback and one of the front rowers don't have a knee between them.

At their best and Us At our best, the forwards would smash the current team and the halves at their best would run rings around us , Benjii always loved playing against other halves that couldn't tackle

Moltzen, Gibbs, and Ryan all having a go at the club on Twitter.

Looks like the 'boys club' has kept in close contact all these years.

Just lost a whole ton of respect for every one of them.

I just gained some

All this moaning about a lack of respect shown by the club for the way this business was announced. When was Farah going to announce that he was meeting with Souths? Before Souths dropped the idea, was he worried that there would be no time for a farewell from the WT fans?

happy with robbie leaving, but not the way it is been handled. JT during the interview looked like he wanted to cry, he came acroos like a used car saleman, i could never trust him. in saying i am happy if robbie goes, it would only be if we can offload him for over $500.000 a year at least that would free up $500.000, other wise there is no point other than JT and him have cut ties with each other.

Better than the current team ( except for Teddy)
Bet Austins glad he was shafted last year.( currently favourite for Buy of the Year)

And how was Austin shafted?, you mean how the club allowed him to leave for better money and the opportunity to play regular NRL…

Farah didn't meet with Souths, according to his manager he hadn't been told anything about it at that stage then our board drpeleased the news without telling Farah or his manager .
And if you don't think that that squirming grub Taylor wasn't disrespectful at his no talkies presser then you don't know what respect is, this club is looking even more rudderless than ever , with Go hiding and not coming forward , starting to see the consequences of having a board with not an ounce of knowledge about running a club between them.
And Taylor's hiding behind his prepared and memorised sentences , like a scared little kid

You truely are an imbecile !

The club (rightly or wrongly) has pushed him to find another club for 2016\. He had no choice but to negotiate with another club or play reserve grade.

Uppercut yourself mate..

Don't get me started on moltzen. The mope spent half his playing career injured, playing nsw cup, or getting injured in nsw cup. Meanwhile collection every cent of his inflated backended contract. If he actually cared about the mope would of pissed off when he wasn't wanted years ago. Then the mope finally speaks up when his off to manly after his collected ever cent of his back ended inflated contract he banked by being injured, playing reserve grade or getting injured in reserve gra

Sorry to ruin your rant, but it was also this club that offered the contract to him, NOT the other way around. He was legally entitled to be paid, no matter what you or anyone else mat think.
The events of this week should show how much consideration that the club gives to our long term players, absolutely nothing.
I might add that his injuries were received while playing for this club.
Also the reason that he didn't piss off was that the club begged him to stay.
Blame them if you want someone to rant on.

I'm not debating the legality of his contract. But if we are talking about the best interest of the club both players should leave. Moltzen played the last two seasons in reserve grade if he was wanted anywhere else he would if left. Farah in the same position now it seems.

Lets not forget both players can pretty much thank the wests tigers for everything they have financially right now.

Jeez Littletiger, how ridiculous can you get?
Farahs given to WTs for over 10 years, and stayed when he could taken the better money on offer. He owes nothing, in fact some of the money he's owed is for games that have been played earlier in his contract, not just for the next two years.
Hes given more back to the club than most have, and carried the club for a lot of those years. It will be a long time before we see another player give anything like the service
That Robbie has.
Why don't you donate your next two years pay to the club, as clearly that's what you believe that Robbie and Moltzen should do.
Or better yet we should stop giving contracts at all , and then the coach can come in at any time and tell any of his players that they will be in reserve grade next week if they don't want to go
Try living in reality, people have contracts so they can't be shafted , as a lot of clubs would do if they could get away with it.
Anyway I'll be looking forward to the breaking news thatlittletiger has donated his next two years pay to the west Tigers Boardmembers Christmas party.
Good for you!

Robbie would be working in some cubical office if it wasn't for the wt. End of story.

And what I'm saying is do what every self respecting footballer does when they are no longer wanted go play in England or joint the media instead of leeching from the club that made you.

On Sterlo, Hooper said Farah met with Souths 6 weeks ago! Farah is a passionate guy, but I was amazed how calm he was in that press conference. For that reason I think the media is being used and this is more of an amicable split.

I also understand Farahs manager is the leak both for this and last year with Potter. I'd love Robbie to play out his career at WT, providing he played for $500k per year. It's not right ask anyone to give up $1 million over two years and that's why the club have given him the opportunity to get all his money by playing elsewhere.

I don't see that as disrespectful or unfair.

I've got a feeling that the reserve grade comment was tongue in cheek

If Farah did decide to stay the club wouldn't play him in reserve grade

Your failing to see reality. Taylor didn't create all these ridiculous back ended contracts. Taylor is actually to fix the mess and is putting his neck on the line dealing with all you disgruntled fans that are resistant to the change.

Say what you want about Taylors coaching. I agree this year coaching hasn't been the best. But in terms of football operations I can't actually point out anything they have done wrong.

At the moment the success in the nrl is determined by the management of the salary cap hence why we are running last and rooster first.

Even if it turns out taylor can't coach at least our cap will be in better order.

stunned about this news. robbie is a weststigers legend but he is in his career twilight.
hope he gets a gig in england then he can get a season ticket for his reds.
would absolutely spew if he went to the scum at sowfs.

His brother is on the coaching staff.

Eddie Farah is their Physiotherapist!

I'm surprised that people aren't reacting with more sentimental affection. Regardless of how you perceive his last year he has been a consistent and loyal performer for the club since his debut, and I will be sad to see the first genuine Wests Tigers club legend go. I hope he's successful and happy in whatever path he follows from now on.

I'm with you Wtigers. I'm so disappointed of this decision. 😢
Robbie is a great WT clubman and deserves to finish off his career at his beloved club.
He will be missed. What's even more disappointing is the timing of this announcement.
It doesn't leave much time for a proper farewell for our Captain.
A farewell at Leichhardt Oval would've been appropriate and respectful.
It also makes it harder for him to find another club, as it's so late in the season.
I wish nothing but good things for Robbie in the future!

I don't care what you think of his performances this year or the money he is apparently on, you don't treat your captain and a club legend like this. I'm livid, until the people running this joint are gone I'm done with this club

WT are becoming unrecognisable, and the club is a cold place to be right now. :frowning:

This is a perfect example of why the salary cap needs to exclude players from the cap who have come through their junior ranks and allow them to be one club players. Irrespective that it's Robbie Farah, I think that the NRL should try and save the "One Club Player" breed because the way they're going, that breed will be non existent for our kids and their kids to see.

I agree. It's the "One Club Player" we the fans bond with, not the one's that come and go every couple of years. Those are the long term players like Robbie that give their all, bleed for the Jersey and play with heart.
It's becoming a cold game with no soul, I'm afraid. So sad to see.

I can't help but feel devastated about this.

This club is a deadset disgrace. Seriously, if you were a player why would you come here after you see this happen to a club legend who has given his all get permission to walk because your administration have ruined the salary cap?

If I was Tedesco for example, I'd be thinking…sure, they want me here while I'm the new top gun just like Robbie was, but in 10 years time they're going to do the same to me when I started getting a bit slower and can't fend off 5 guys with each kick return and show no loyalty and fend me off when they run into money trouble.

Sure, I get it, it's professional sport. Robbie hasn't earnt his $900,000 for the past 2 seasons, but he is a club legend and legends don't die. He'll be back and probably kill it with a club who has their stuff together with a decent pack behind him. He's carried this side for over a decade, I don't blame the guy for a couple of off seasons. He's still the best hooker in NSW.

Look around at the top teams rosters. The Roosters, Broncos, Storm, Souths, Bulldogs, Cowboys all seem to be able to fit big names in their cap, another reason why Harry should buy this club. Every other decent club has a way to make them fit. But no, we're stuck with Farah, Woods and Taupau as our current rep players and we're now letting potentially our best player walk away to fix our cap. It's a joke.

The club should honour the deal in the first place. Make your bed, then lie in it.

Lawrence will be next, finally moved to the back row where he should've been for a long time and showing us he still has something great to offer and has the trademarks to be our Luke Lewis and we'll shuffle him off too.

Taupau will probably leg it, don't blame the guy.

Then what. Who wants to come to this club? Who if even off contract with the same value as Farah? Resigning nuffies like Lovett isn't the answer.

I'm sorry for venting my frustration, but for a club I've followed since I was a kid, this just doesn't make sense, I think it's a shocking move and I'm just so disappointed in the WT. I'm literally gutted.
