Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

The club is getting carved up through the media and don't appear to have anything in response. This would suggest to me this was created by the other party, most likely Robbie's Manager.

I'd expect something more from the club, something swift & direct to the point either today or tomorrow. Marina Go is the most likely to step in now and get on the front foot and push back at Farah & his Team.

Time for a Leader to step up and take control of this club. Who will it be???

WT have already said there will be no further comment until Farah's situation is sorted. Which leads me to believe someone from Farah's camp was going to blow the lid off it so they had to rush out an annoucement. So instead of letting it run it's course behind closed doors and not dragging everyone through the proverbial, it's gone the way of this total cluster.

I can't believe people are blaming Farah for the mess.
It's not his fault he has a contract.
If anybody seriously thinks he would prefer to play for anybody else in the NRL but the Tigers they have rocks in their heads.
There is a simple solution ….. make him CEO.
That would put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Now that Farah is going Moses and Broooks will be exposed.
They can't guide us around without Farah.
Can't remember us winning with these 2 and no Farah.

I still want to know who's going to pull their finger out and start doing the defence that they've been happy to leave to Farah over the last 10 yrs. oh that's right….Cherrington of course..no wait?????

Defece? Don't worry GCT….Lovett to the rescue :sunglasses:

…..........look at your young guns.
look at who their families are. Who their families closest friends and associates are.
look at who their managers are.
look at which other players are managed by their managers.
very quickly you will start to gain an insight into the "type" of advise their managers will have given them.
in a professional environment, any manager worth his salt will be advising them of their options.
if you want to play in a winning team......
If you want to be playing well enough to be eligible (or even thought of) for or working towards representative roles
if you want to be playing in a team thats competitive
if you want to be playing in an environment where you can be coached, taught and build on your skills......
if you want to play in a team with players you can learn from......
If you want to play in a team where the coach is a leader ............
And that is also reflected and communicated by friends, family, managers and more importantly fellow league stars.

Ok, so it is your assumptions, not facts. Your statements led me to believe you had some inside insights, facts. I was actually interested that you might have some information of note. I can make my own assumptions.

Lol NT. This Forum is mostly based on assumptions, not on evidence or fact.
That's why we all love it. What makes it interesting.

Well it was bound to happen. I wonder if he jumped or was pushed…

I'd say he jumped , he's looked disinterested for ages .

Robbie bleeds WT and some Hobbo. I think he's been pushed out for cap reasons.
He looked disinterested to you, but to me he looked unhappy because he knew he wasn't wanted. What a rambles this club is. I'll mimic J Hayne's response to this, which is….
WOW just WOW. :bawling :imp:

Everyone ( including the media ) is saying he's been pushed out due to salary cap problems , then why have they waited until now ??

IMO he looks like he's had enough ?!

True Hobbo. He's had enough. 13 years of High and Lows. Mainly lows..This one takes the cake though.

On the up side, if he goes to the UK now he won't have to go through the awkwardness of not being selected for SOO next year.

That's true TM and as I said I can make my own, but bobo was presenting his as fact. At first I was interested and looking for some verification, then 'ok whatever'.

FT, I understand that you dont agree with him saying the things re ladder, results etc its not what I would say…just understand what Im saying here for a moment, this team of young hopefuls must learn to understand the defensive structures, games are won and lost on defense, attack will come on the back of good defense..you dont learn it overnight,it takes time to get the team as a whole to play to defensive structures, some of our boys maybe a bit slower than others to pick it up,I dont really know, but I do know that when Bennett tells his team to play to the structure he has implemented and stick to it,they win more than they lose.He was quoted as saying once.".I tell the team to play to the structure,it is simple and dont stray from it"...The quality of players he has at his disposal may have something to do with it...

Structures ? there isn't any , Brooks still can't tackle watch the arm grabbing stuff vs the Knights.

Anyway time will tell and i'd be interested to see what Farah says once he leaves the Club .

Farah will have a book out i'm sure
i have the Title for your book Robbie " Nothing but the truth ".

I have a better one. How does " The Naked Truth" sound! Makes it sound much more interesting, don't you think FT?

lets have a "educated guess"
hes the captain.
if Taylor can do this to the captain, no one is safe
If Taylor can do this to the captain - at this time of the year - there is NO respect for him or the team or the fans
Everything Taylor has said and done this year has been Sh*t and failed miserably
How many years is Taylor contracted for ???????
can a team file for a non confidence vote against the coach and if so how do we do it ????
How do we stop Taylor from killing **our** careers and this club ???

How do we stop Taylor from killing _OUR_ careers?
That little slip raises some questions.

Who are you?, you only joined today, a disgruntled player perhaps, Robbie or Moltzen….

Lol, PPM… I think Robbie would be a touch busy, with everything that's going on at the moment. Doubt he has the time to post on our little forum or would even care too. :unamused:

If he's not performing he gets dropped. Fair enough. Hopefully that goes for the rest now. He;s not really performed all year so this is it. Dropped for next season bring the new guy in. Perfect decision - for once.

Does this mean that anyone who has been under performing is going to be sacked or made to play reserve grade, if so then I'll be delighted to see the real under performers in the earlier games next season.
some of us have been asking for that for most of the season,
Can we have a list of the players that are deemed to be Koalas again in 2016
And the worst performer in the club has been Taylor , so where's he off to in the new year, I'll gladly give him a lift if he wants
Farah is just a scapegoat for the boards ineptitude, and Taylor's incompetence
All this I'm sure will be noted by players who we want to recruit , and if they have any brains , they won't touch us with a barge pole

I hope it means underperforming players will be dropped. Particularly of there's a gun waiting for a spot.

Not going to happen WD. The club tends to release the gun players and resign the plotters and the one's with Potential :unamused:

I will probably get shot down but here I go.
This is my first post although I have been a supporter for 50 years, of the tigers.
I feel that its easy to blame management for whats going on now at the club, we all love.
The cold hard facts are the players and coach have not performed.
the captain and coach must shoulder the responsibility of where the team is now.
Yes Robbie has been a loyal club man to a point, but since 2014 his position in the origin team has been of utmost importance to him.He changed his style of play in 2014 to suit origin, which has led to his under performance at the Tigers.
look at origin 2 2015 he was injured and moved heaven and earth to play and when he is injured will not play for the tigers.
how many games did he play this year, is it 11 hardly worthy of $900,000.
As for JT I have never seen a coach who takes positives week in week out from a flogging.
I suggest more players are shown the door and the young players given a go.
sure we wont win any games but are we now.
The money saved will help in 2017.
And i would love to see someone like Blocker roach put in as coach. He wouldn't be happy after a loss and loves the club just not for the money, like some players and coaches.

Roach as coach????? 😱pen_mouth:

From what Robbie had been through the last couple years he should go to England for his mental health. The guy bashes himself.

Robbie go to england. Play in an easier competition. Watch the soccer. See the world. You've won a competition, played origin, played for Australia. You have nothing to prove. You don't have to carry the world on your shoulders.

What a lovely post Littletiger. :stuck_out_tongue:. by the way, I agree!

Not if I really wanted to stay. I'd be doing everything in my power to play to my best ability, lead the team as captain, assist other players, and negotiate a way forward re my contract.
But then, that's me.

What makes you think he wouldn't be selected Tigerbalm?
He's one of the better hookers in the NRL.
