Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

Stop pushing your agenda so bloody hard Pawsandclaws, you're not changing anyone's opinion on the situation. And seriously, suggesting that anyone ever intended by any comment that Farah would be released and paid out in full is just not living in the real world.

Wow, you know you're desperate when you're calling the weed a reliable source. The same journo that got called out by a player last yr.

Good lord

I can remember watching Frank Hyde commentating a Maggie - Dragon's game at Lidcombe Oval about 1968 and what he called 20 yards was about 40 yards. I think in most of Frank's time there were not Farah sagas as players could not change clubs, they were contracted for life.

Does it matter whether Farah's contract was back loaded or not ?? 950 k is still 950 k , true ??

That's what previous management decided to do , and yet its our current management who are the problems ??

this column is aware …???

How can it be aware when both parties have said on-going negotiations will private and confidential...Who brought awareness to the column...

As for the previous Weidler article good one...

Probably Go's partner, he likes running off at the mouth.

Is this true?…I did see a facebook post from him back in August unhappy with the vitriol being spewed at the Club ...I haven't seen or heard anything since....

I find it difficult to believe he would be going to Danny Weidler to bring awareness...

Presenting the much higher figure does matter as it paints Farah in a worse light. Farah agreed to defer payment to assist the club as did Marshall.

Yes, whomever or whoever authorised Taylor to handle this matter needs to be held to account.

It is the club regardless of the management at that period in time. This current management, excluding Pascoe, has made two decisions which need to be investigated.

1\. Appointing Taylor
2\. Authorising him to deal with this matter.

I keep hearing how they deferred payments , but I only ever hear it from them ….

Then it comes down to whether you believe what they say

And seeing how they have behaved , I will wait until I hear it as fact from the club

Hahahahahah

''Basically said….''

Thanks Nelson, I'll take that under advisement. These issues need to be fully explored and you never know the answers to these issues may be forthcoming.

Marshall advised he agreed to $80,000 and Farah to his amount. So are saying these two players are not telling the truth? It's a yes or no answer Happy Tigers so come out with it.

So now we're saying that he didn't defer money a couple of years ago. ??

But that's only their word for it mate

Unless they come out with actual factual info , I don't trust them They've been proven in the past that their wheelbarrow's that they push is far more important than anyone elses

Whether the report was wrong is one thing, and that may or may not be true but Paws showed where his info came from and as far as I can see Has NOT lied, and didn't deserve the Comment that he did.
And on your comment that players can't just walk. Does the names Taupau, Austin, Blair,
SBW mean anything to you ?

Marshall said Farah deserved to be treated better and expected him to dig his heels in and fight for his spot next season.

“We both (took pay cuts). In 2012 the club came to us and said they were going to be ‘X’ amount over the cap,” Marshall said. “In 2012 I think I took an $80,000 pay cut and Robbie took a $200,000 pay cut for two years in a row.

“When I agreed to a five-year deal after that year, that was going to be back-ended and added onto my contract. The same thing happened with Robbie.

“Everyone looks at (Farah’s) price tag and sees $950,000 and says, ‘Well he’s not worth 950.’ Well it’s really 750 and the 200 he took off three or four years ago to keep the club afloat.

“That’s how much the club means to the bloke and that’s how much it meant to me. We were willing to give up our money to keep the club under the cap.”
