But that's only their word for it mate
Unless they come out with actual factual info , I don't trust them They've been proven in the past that their wheelbarrow's that they push is far more important than anyone elses

Marshall said Farah deserved to be treated better and expected him to dig his heels in and fight for his spot next season.
“We both (took pay cuts). In 2012 the club came to us and said they were going to be ‘X’ amount over the cap,” Marshall said. “In 2012 I think I took an $80,000 pay cut and Robbie took a $200,000 pay cut for two years in a row.
“When I agreed to a five-year deal after that year, that was going to be back-ended and added onto my contract. The same thing happened with Robbie.
“Everyone looks at (Farah’s) price tag and sees $950,000 and says, ‘Well he’s not worth 950.’ Well it’s really 750 and the 200 he took off three or four years ago to keep the club afloat.
“That’s how much the club means to the bloke and that’s how much it meant to me. We were willing to give up our money to keep the club under the cap.”
That's again just what they have said , I don't see a black and white contract ….
Why what until you are leaving to bring it up ?? Strange don't you think ??
Back ended contracts were common and this issue only has become an issue when new management discovered paying out Farah would be extremely expensive due to the back ended deal.
And I guess that raises the question of the timing of the threat to Farah to play NSW Cup. Did it occur AFTER the meeting where the SMH reported Taylor had advised Ayoub that Farah would be paid out. Meaning, did Taylor finally do his homework after the meeting, find out the truth about the back ended deal and then threaten Farah with NSW Cup or attempt to swap him for McInnes or McQueen as reported by the SMH to avoid the full payout figure?
These are Marshall's comments and in the absence of any rebuttal from the club, I think you have your answer. And wouldn't this be an issue for you if the club was attempting to move you on? I'd say aboutt $400,000 reasons.
