I find it funny how five weeks ago, every supporter on here was bagging Taylor for the excellent play strategy of taking the ball one out for 5 tackles, then a midfield bomb.
And then u turn on farah and co for speaking up… ..

I agree with this

This is quite ironic.

Quite an exaggeration.
Not every supporter

Their is a lot more to this than just salary cap,but by moving Farah on they will achieve some salary cap relief.

I think it is pretty obvious their is and has been a rift between the coach and Farah, so one has to go. You can not have you captain and your no9 at loggerheads with the coach. Now in the past when a similar situation has happened the club has stuck firm with Farah and moved on the coach and that has not achieved a thing so now they have gone the other way.

Of course the club is taking a massive risk of getting the playing group, the punters, the sponsors, player managers, you name it all offside, but when your coming last and have been under achieving for a long time I guess the risks are worth it

I agree with most of what you say but are you sure that this will get the playing group offside? Kent reported that Farah was offside with at least some of the playing group.

JT said in his interview that the reports about Robbie not getting along with team mates is not true.
I tend to believe JT rather then Kent, who's been wrong before on numerous occasions.

I thought of a idea from left field, sack Taylor and make Farah coach. Than you will solve all the problems of mutinies against the coach!!!!!

The tactic was used by the company I worked for, if they ever had a problem a union delegate they would promote him or her to management.Worked a treat

Sounds good in theory , but Farah would have to take a pay cut .
Taylor surely wouldn't be on more than $50 a game !?

That much? :astonished:

If I was Robbie I would sell my self for $1.00 to any club then WT would still be paying $999.999 for him. Then what will they do???

Haters u are!!!
Should be ashamed of yourselfs, disgusting.
U pick potter the half wit over farah!
The guy won us a premiership! What did potter really do for the weststigers to deserve this unbridled loyalty???????
I think generally its whats wrong with the club, yes its people like you!!!! Haters
Another word I have for u farah haters, pathetic
Again, apparently farah and brooks, Moses went to the coach a few weeks ago because they wanted to play more expansive play, should have taken farah out the back and shot him then.
I find it funny how five weeks ago, every supporter on here was bagging Taylor for the excellent play strategy of taking the ball one out for 5 tackles, then a midfield bomb.
And then u turn on farah and co for speaking up… What would you do haters...

Haters? Whenever i hear that word i think of a teenage girl
\

''ermahgerd so many haters''

Yep I agree with him but I think the word haters is hateful,
Actually it is a bit Facebooky isn't it Col

Last home game of Farahs career, or back next year? To farewell, or not farewell a club legend. Yeah managed really well by our club. Embarrassing.

I'll be at the game Telltails, and i will be loudly cheering for Robbie. :sign:
I must say, what a horrible season this turned out to be.
And it's getting worse by the minute. :frowning:

mate, this is taylors doing.
im quite sure everyone involved will admit that.
taylor himself has come out and said robbie does not fit in with the plans.

if it were a case of warning etc - im quite confident most work place guidelines re warnings and or terminations would also come into play.
the letter sent out by the CEO this afternoon confirming he has not been sacked and that his wage will be paid in full is also confirmation that there are no formal behavioral issues.
this is merely a case of - "with him gone, the young guys will have to listen to me"

There is no way in hell everyone around Taylor would let him make that decision alone. Especially if people thought it was a bad one. Taylor might have started the discussion, but he wouldn't have been the sole decision maker.

They aren't going to terminate a contract on behavior either, that would create a far worse mess than there is currently.

Taylor isn't alone in this, I would put money on it. He would have needed almost complete backing from the key staff and for that to happen, there must be a very good reason.

I hope that the younger guys are mature enough to see it, that's what worries me. It's hard to put your mates aside and look at it from a big picture, especially in an emotionally charged business like this.

On the Sterlo show, they mentioned that at that meeting there were four people in the room.
Robbie, His manager Ayoub, JT and Rod Reddy… True or not, it's anyone's guess.

@innsaneink said:
Maybe…just maybe, Ayoub leaked it to the media before the club was ready.
Whichever way it was handled, people would find fault...there is no "right" way to do it, sometimes you gotta be cruel to be kind

Hard Love, hey Ink. :frowning:

Just watched Robbie's latest preso on the Tigers website. Hard not to feel sorry for him. Its true that he has been the heart & soul of this club for a long time but I just don't know that his heart has been in it for the last couple of years. Yeh he has had some cracking games for NSW but when has he really had a stand-out game for the Tigers in the past 2 years? Last time I can remember is v Parramatta at LO, but thats going back a while.

I think a few people have already pointed out that he probably shouldn't have been signed on a big 4 year contract at age 30 (2 years ago) so maybe the bill should be sent to the person who drew up that contract. Either way, I hope the boys can see him out as a winner as despite his recent form he'll always be a Tigers legend.

So the decision to part ways with Farah was made during SOO…the club told Farahs manager who shopped Farah around on the quiet, but no club took him up... Then the club decides to tell Farah.... And before Farah leaves the car park the word is out in the press that Farah and the WT are parting ways... So the club gets on the front foot and issues a statement BEFORE the press do their story... Now who leaked this to the press??? not Farah himself??? Surely not....

This thread needs more Jerry Seinfeld

For gods sake, it's already 45 pages long
He's still writing his first post on the subject: 25 pages
Sorry Jerr. Love you dearly.

Nah, if there's one poster I'd have like to have heard from here it's Simon. He absolutely kissed the ground Farah walked on. He'd have been inconsolable over the last few days.

Look, I understand the attachment the fans have to Farah. I cannot overlook his achievements for us either. He carried us from 06-09, he's bled for us and he has been the ultimate competitor. He helped us to 2005\. He'll have a place in our history, as does Marshall, Hodgson and the others that went before what we felt was their time.

That said, it does not give you the rails run on how the place runs. He's now considered a hindrance and the club has decided that we will be better off without him. Things have been awful for years, and if they feel moving him on is best, I support it. We've moved on coaches and players in the years preceding this and we're still getting what we've always got. Maybe Farah is the last piece of the puzzle.

We shall see next year. If things turn around next year I dare say many, if not all, of us will be saying "Robbie who?"

Yep a lot feel the same way, yet are labelled "haters" by some, when they are simply WT lovers. Players come and go every season, the club and it's current lineup are where loyalties lay.

Not everybody who agrees with the decision is a hater and can offer reasons to validate their opinion - but there's plenty on here who are getting stuck right into him, and getting some form of perverse pleasure, without knowing anything at all.
I am amazed by how many posters know, personally, how this or that player doesn't get on with him, how he got Potter sacked, how it's all his fault we're losing and his relationship with Taylor.
All this without ever being to a training session, in the locker room or the boardroom, or actually knowing anyone involved.
Amazing.

CK, this is such a sane post… Agree with it though

Just noticed that tomorrow's telegraph has an article that has the heading
" Tigers set to defy ban and back skipper" I can't access the rest of article, but if anyone else can it may be interesting. Could shed some light on a few things.

And another one stating that Robbie had already taken a $400,000 hit to help the club out.(also can't access rest) These may be nothing or may be more damage for the admin and Coach.

That would top off the farce this has been and something I've been half expecting. Nearly 50 pages of crap for nothing.

I fear the day Jerry and Bobo lock horns. It will take two yrs to read that conversation.

Somehow it'd be worked around to include the trenches of Gallipoli and the First World War :roll

Jerry would find some way to get on his right wing horse

Actually GNR. Just re read your post and I thinkwe may have crossed wires on that first story, from the small bit that I could read, I think it was the players that they were referring to that were backing Robbie.
Bugger, I'll have to buy the Tele tomorrow now, I hate giving Rupert money

A lot of fingers will start pointing at Ayoub. If the herald is correct, Farah's management was informed after the third SOO match.
