Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

I feel sorry for Robbie as he has been one of my favourite players since I started supporting this team.

But if the rumours of his presence in the team being negative are true, he has to go.

I read the article but then when going back to copy the text it reloaded and says I have to pay to view it :/

Basically teddy, patty and others saying that they all love Robbie to bits and that they are very disappointed with what has happened. Confirmed that reports of any of the players having a problem with Robbie are ridiculous and couldn't be further from the truth and that they all look up to him and respect him as their leader.

There was also a video where they were interviewing emotional tigers fans who are very upset about the situation. One lady was crying.

So the decision to part ways with Farah was made during SOO…the club told Farahs manager who shopped Farah around on the quiet, but no club took him up... Then the club decides to tell Farah.... And before Farah leaves the car park the word is out in the press that Farah and the WT are parting ways... So the club gets on the front foot and issues a statement BEFORE the press do their story... Now who leaked this to the press??? not Farah himself??? Surely not....

Why didn't Farah's management tell Farah when they were informed by the club?

Funny how the majority of people that actually know Robbie hold him in high regard i.e. current and ex players yet plenty that dont know him will tell you he is the cause of every failure that has happened at the club. Who to believe the people that know him, or those that think they do.

Just noticed that tomorrow's telegraph has an article that has the heading
" Tigers set to defy ban and back skipper" I can't access the rest of article, but if anyone else can it may be interesting. Could shed some light on a few things.

And another one stating that Robbie had already taken a $400,000 hit to help the club out.(also can't access rest) These may be nothing or may be more damage for the admin and Coach.

That would top off the farce this has been and something I've been half expecting. Nearly 50 pages of crap for nothing.

Actually GNR. Just re read your post and I thinkwe may have crossed wires on that first story, from the small bit that I could read, I think it was the players that they were referring to that were backing Robbie.
Bugger, I'll have to buy the Tele tomorrow now, I hate giving Rupert money

Lmao… So now we are supposed to believe the DT? :crazy

I'll guarantee you within the players group there is Team Robbie, Team Taylor & Team WT's. There may be anther team in there also, but one thing for certain is none will 'openly' be quoted saying anything negative about Robbie while he is still at the club. The truth from the players group will only come out once this is all over!

A bit of AHX would not go astray either and missed him lately..

Endless anti muslim rants on the other hand, glad to see the lack of them.

For gods sake, it's already 45 pages long
He's still writing his first post on the subject: 25 pages
Sorry Jerr. Love you dearly.

Nah, if there's one poster I'd have like to have heard from here it's Simon. He absolutely kissed the ground Farah walked on. He'd have been inconsolable over the last few days.

Was Simon banned a couple of weeks back?

So you are prepared to believe anything that anyone says about Robbie, as long as it makes Robbie look bad.
These are direct quotes from our players who are around Robbie every day

But when our best young player , as well as others in the team all risk getting Taylor offside with them , come out and say this is a load of garbage , especial the rumours of problems among the team, which would include, the ridiculous rumour that Robbie has screaming rants at the young kids on the field, then you don't want to hear that, as it doesn't fit with your opinion.
Your post , says a lot about you TigerAnd your agenda.

Now Marina let's stop the leaks to the media about so called disruption and put the spotlight on our Faux Coach and find out exactly was the real reason that Taylor has it in for Farah.
You and the rest of the board are looking worse every time Stuff like this comes to light in the media.

And Tiger, I think that these guys that are on the field in the games , and at training , are 100% more reliable with the facts than your imaginary version of the facts could ever be
I especially liked the bit that Teddy said about how much that Farah helps the young kids that have come into the club ,
These are the people who are there., in the team, around every day, get it Tiger?????? :crazy

Yes Marzie
Makes you wonder , doesn't it?????
These people sitting behind a keyboard, acting as though they have inside info, Are now exposed as knowingBugger All about the situation, Aaahhhh but what would the players know?
They're just there on the spot, in the dressing room on the field , mixing socially,
How would they know???
A lot of Questions have been answered, and now a lot of questions Could be directed to this board and Coach. One big question to the board and Faux coach , is, why haven't you addressed the situation ( as the players have done) of these rumours about Farah being a distraction in the team? is it because it suits you all to have all this flying all over the place to strengthen your arguments to get rid of him???
Or is it just good to have someone to deflect attention from the board and the Faux coach????

Actually, I'm just enjoying taunting you and YOUR agenda… Your posts cover 30% of this thread beating down anyone who doesnt see or agree with YOUR agenda (Blaming Taylor). So I'm just getting pleasure out of your emotional attachment to something you know little about, by offering objective quotes based on what I perceive is going on (just like you). I find your contribution amusing.

Have you ever heard "the full support of the board" been quoted in the media? Well, you will probably also know that is one of the biggest BS quotes ever stated by the same people who are around these players every day. In reality, these quotes you are so dramatically clinging onto are nothing more than politically correct quotes, stated by numerous people who while having a beer in January will most likely tell there mates what they really think about the bloke.

I don't have a clue what has happened, but I do know people who know Robbie, who have played with Robbie and I remember one of the QUOTES FROM A REAL PERSON being "I wouldn't want him any where near my club". Now obviously this was this persons opinion, but maybe it is also the reason that an Australian & State of Origin Player being sold on the cheap cant find another club?

I spose we will never know?

Has anyone been able to access the telegraph story stating that Robbie had taken a $400,000 hit to help the Tigers , I can't see much of it but it looks it looks like it was before Taylor shafted him, it's there, but I can't access it

Save the cap money and throw the sink at Folkes or Toovey at least we wont be playing at a disadvantage of around 500k a year on the playing roster like with Blair etc, giving Taylor more excuses.

Is Tedesco pulling the PC line when he defies a club ban. I'd think that he must feel strongly to do that, woods was a bit more careful yesterday,(,but still obviously peed. )This is not the Board , but REAL players saying what they want to, QUOTES
Sorry if it doesn't fit your weird agenda, but keep on with your crap, bit pathetic, but you've been exposed by your own post

Folkes will never be a head coach again. Let it go.

Well,I reckon we have had plenty of for and against regarding the Robbie fiasco…many of my forum friends have had their say and opinions on the subject and clearly we can not come to a solid conclusion on who is right and who is wrong....how many of us have heard different versions of Robbie on and off the field ? and yet the game of Chinese whispers continues on in a manner that really only leads to speculation and innuendos...
As most of you know,I have voiced my opinion on many subjects concerning the great WESTS Tigers, the one and only club I will ever be interested in.I have never said in any of my replies on what ever subject debated "that Iam completely right" and anyone else is wrong, mainly it is because we are having a discussion and every bodies input should be valued whatever side they are arguing for...I cannot comment wholeheartedly and with complete honesty these matters surrounding Robbie as they are now,I have no connection to the inside of the clubs internal organisation and would not have any idea what is said or done behind the closed door of this establishment..we can only hope that the truth will eventually surface and this great club can move on toward a winning and untumoltuous culture. As we have seen, hard decisions are being made that have not been considered before so as we can start to embed this culture....

I refuse to argue with people on the forum regarding this matter as some are still very emotional about the circumstances directly at the heart of the matter,as it should be,a lot of people are quite passionate toward RF being the club person he has been....
Also, people should give the benefit of the doubt to the coach regarding this matter, until as I said the truth comes out,he was appointed by the board and he should be given the chance to coach this team unhindered and move toward that winning culture..

This is a great forum,we don't always agree on matters discussed, but we have the freedom to converse and express exactly how we feel, keeping in mind we don't all have the same opinion as others ....

Anyway this is just my thoughts and as I have said before..the truth will eventually come out,I for one can't wait for this to be over so we can get on with making this club the best In the NRL...

Let what go? It doesn't necessarily need to be Folkes but some-one with runs on the board. Not a rookie who got us to last on the ladder.

I am disappointed to see that Farah's time at the club has come to an ignoble end. I haven't been able to glean enough from the publicly available information to decide who is responsible for the way it has been handled.
It appears that Farah and Taylor are at loggerheads just as it appeared that Farah and Potter were at loggerheads and reports that Farah and Sheens were at loggerheads. A winning culture cannot be built around relationships where the coach and captain are not moving in the same direction.
Some fans are saying that Taylor can't coach, just as some fans said that Potter couldn't coach and again that Sheens (although he continued as the Australian coach) couldn't coach. Sooner or later you have to back the coach.
I am disappointed for Robbie Farah, but even more I'm disappointed for the Wests Tigers. I will be greatly encouraged if the result of this decision is a synergy between the coach, captain and playing squad. I guess we'll find out next year.
Go Tigers.

How do classify someone that's previously coached 2 NRL sides a rookie?

2 finals appearances. One after he took Parra over after Brian Smith left them almost last. They won like 6 or 7 in a row. And the other time he got Souths to their first finals series in nearly 20 yrs. I'll admit I've not been a JT fan this yr, but his critics have not been one bit objective when looking at his coaching record.
