The voices in my head have me believing Taylor is a terrible coach, and if he doesnt start winning 55% + of his matches his days are numbered.

**Voices in your head**?

I'd settle with 50% winning for now, it would be an improvement on this year's 35% and probably see us on the edge of the 8\. Wayne Bennett has a winning record of 61.8%, which is quite amazing, but still not a billion years over 50%.

apparently :crazy

Definately agree re the percentages, but I'd say its a safe bet he will need to achieve 55+ to see the 3rd year of his contract… He cant move on a club legend like Farah and not get results the following year. He has made his bed!

The family and i went to the game yesterday, and so glad we did. It was a small crowd of 6.700, but it was one of the most vocal crowds i have ever heard. People came out with banners galore, to farewell Patt and Keith. But i think most were there to show their support for Robbie. It was an emotional day from the start ( when JT was booed) to the middle (continues chanting of Robbie's name reverberating all around the stadium which brought tears to my eyes) to the finish ( Pat, Keith and Robbie doing a Lap of Honour)
The boys played well but Robbie was the hero. He showed us why he's the Origin Hooker.
Robbie continuously acknowledged the chanting crowd. Wow, what an atmosphere it was.
And let's bury the media rumour that some of the players don't like Robbie. They not only like him, they love him. Each and everyone of the boys made it very clear that they love, respect and support their Captain.
No matter what happens, Robbie will always have a place in our hearts. :sign:

if the real reason is salary cap, and the players like him maybe Robbie should become coach (non-salary cap) and play for free for a couple of years. (he even attracts $200k extra cap because of his longevity at the club.
JT used to be a handy half - he could become the "special teams" half-back coach - albeit well paid.

After yesterday, I have no doubt in my mind that JT's days are numbered.
The booing that he copt was amazing, the message is loud and clear, Management can't defend the undefendable, he has lost the dressing sheds you don't have to be a rocket scientist to pick up on the body language.
Did anyone notice when the cameras went in the sheds at halftime no one was giving a toss about Taylors speech, heads down on the floor, no eye contact.

The support that Farah got yesterday was amazing, the way it was handled last week was appalling despite if you think Farah's past his best or not.

For the 1st time in my 15 year support of this Club, I can honestly say I felt ashamed on who i supported, embarrassed to say wests tigers is the Club i love, they can play around with players careers but they won't play around with fans emotion and yesterday was a clear indication of that.
Here's hoping for a better 2016 and beyond.

Great summation Mama!!

After feeling so down its great to see the boys having fun and showing support for Robbie….and the crowd as well......just brilliant.

Proud as punch to be a tiger again!!

Another Coach to lose the dressing sheds…..wonders will never cease...Do people really think this is acceptable.....People bemoan that no Players want to come to Wests Tigers.....What decent Coach would...

All sweet.we won.....

Thats the glass half empty view GEO…..IMO its great that everyone has seen that we are more than dollars and cents, we are a family and we expect members of said family to be treated better.

And JT has been exposed as a Z grade coach......see what we can do when we throw it around a bit?

Glorious day!

You bet. We always play our best footy when both us and the opposition are out of finals contention and the opposition is missing their first choice halfback.

well said mate.

last week i was quite brutal in my "opinions" of what has happened here.
Some of you thought (and still do) i am an insider.
i shared what to me (and obviously many others here and at the game yesterday - is quite obvious.
Yes, i do have a insight into the mechanics - yes i do understand how the behind the scenes work.
Everything that i stated was closer to the mark than some people here wanted to accept. do tell bobo / bobo knws bess etc etc

the bottom line is, the rhetoric the club dished out last week was pathetic.
from the coach calling the shots, to the CEO trying to provide excuses in a manner that someone with little knowledge of the game and its core values would have.

sometimes body language and whats not said speaks volumes.
As forevere tiger pointed out - JT has lost the team.
the fact that not one player was interested in what he had to say at half time spoke volumes.
The fact the captain sat next to him and embarrassed him after the game spoke volumes.
The manner in which each and every player cheered hugged high fived and celebrated Robbie on the field spoke volumes.
if you are fan of decent good ethics (not politics) you wil finally understand what some of the biggest names in our code are saying about this issue.
JTs cll on this one is absolutely disgraceful.
Laurie daely wayne Bennet Craig Bellamy phil gould etc etc etc
you might not agree with them politically but they are on the money here.
your coach is spinning you into the ground.
now imagine the moral of the team when their leader is playing in reggies next year.

it was a great day for the team yesterday.
the players and the Fans.

Well said Ghost! :supporter:

So now the club must consider fan's 'emotions' when they make decision concerning the roster?

I'd say that my emotions are better taken care of if I am supporting a club that's winning matches and competing for titles, rather than for the spoon.

Fans (those without an agenda, I'm sure there are still some around) should let the board that they have been demanding for years, take the decisions they have been demanding for years, in the hope that this club ceases being the laughing stock of the league.

Then everyone's emotions will be better served.

Sounds like some are salivating more over Farah's performance rather than the fact we put 50 on the opposition. And these same people are trying to rub it in?
How does that work?

maybe they just enjoyed seeing a United team throw the shackles away , and play some great football. For a change
Maybe you are just getting a bit over sensitive ( like others)about seeing Farah hitting back.
don't be too grouchy, he'll go well in NSW cup next year for us , I'm sure.

This is what I mean. Assuming people are upset. I've given him credit for yesterday so I'm not sure where you think I'm being grouchy. Barking up the wrong tree mate.

2014 - 13th spot, defeated Sharks 26-10
2013 - 14th spot, lost to Cowboys 50-22
**2012 - 9th spot, lost to Storm 26-6**
2011 - 4th, defeated Sharks 30-22
2010 - 2nd, lost to Gold Coast 21-18
2009 - 10th, defeated Bulldogs 34-12
2008 - 12th, defeated Titans 28-12
**2007 - 9th, lost to Knights 26-24**
2006 - 13th, defeated Souths 52-18
2005 - 4th, lost to Panthers 38-22
**2004 - 8th, lost to Knights 26-16**
2003 - 14th, lost to Warriors 32-16
2002 - 11th, lost to Warriors 28-12
2001 - 11th, lost to Sharks 36-12
2000 - 10th, lost to Storm 36-26

Definitely, when we need to win in the last round, we fail to do so. But our final round results are tragically poor - 5/15 (33%)

That 2007 loss to Newcastle is right up there with one of the worst results we've ever had, all things considered.
From memory we were 4th with 5 rounds to go, lost 4 of 5 to miss out on F&A. Newcastle would have won the spoon if we'd won.

I am by no means a supporter of JT
But I cant believe the support for Robbie Farah.
He has done nothing for the team all year and puts Origin before his club.
If he can perform like that, why wait till now.
in my books his good performance was reason enough to move him on.
It proves he was holding back in order to undermine JT
If he cares so much for the Tigers, walk away.
He knows they cant afford him.

That's good then , in that case I apologise
I can also assure you that I'm equally as happy that we put 50 points on any team.

A FORMER Federal Sports Minister and a Balmain legend have fired off angry letters to the Wests Tigers board over the dumping of star hooker Robbie Farah.

The Sunday Telegraph has obtained copies of both letters, sent by the Honourable John Brown, AO, and former Tigers and Test hooker Ben Elias.

Brown, now 83, has supported Western Suburbs for 75 years, Elias played 234 first grade matches for the Balmain Tigers.
\
\
Both are incensed at the club’s decision to push Farah out the door, as was exclusively revealed in Wednesday’s Daily Telegraph.

Brown, who was Federal Member for Parramatta between 1977 and 1990, claimed the Wests Tigers board had in recent times acted with “incompetence and stupidity.”

Farah will attempt to cast aside the drama and lead Wests Tigers in this afternoon’s game against New Zealand Warriors at Campbelltown Stadium.

Farah will attempt to cast aside the drama and lead Wests Tigers in this afternoon’s game against New Zealand Warriors at Campbelltown Stadium.

Former Minister for Tourism and Wests Tigers fan John Brown.
Brown wrote: “Moving people on is a foolish and very costly endeavour. To replace Robbie Farah with a less competent player could theoretically cost the club up to $2m. Farah is of course club captain, vice-captain of NSW, a member of the Australian national squad, a former premiership-winner and someone who has been an adornment to the Western Suburbs team for over 12 years. Very few club footballers in Australia could approach this record of devotion, commitment and skill.
\
\
“I hate to criticise the new coach (Jason Taylor) but his record, possibly winning the wooden spoon, pails into insignificance alongside that of the man he wishes to ‘move on’. I await with anxious anticipation for Wests management or the NRL to explain to all of we faithful supporters who await advice as to what is happening in our club.

“We now have a list of people starting with Tim Sheens and finishing with Adam Blair, now starring with the Broncos, to which we very likely add the name of one of the players whom I have most admired in my 75 years. This foundation club formed in 1908 deserves to have a better reputation than the one which recent boards have diminished greatly with their incompetence and stupidity. I await an explanation if one is possible for this incredible dilemma.”
\
\
Tigers legend Ben Elias didn’t hold back.
Brown’s powerful words were echoed by Elias, a Tigers life member.

In his letter to the board, Elias called those that dumped Farah as “faceless men.”

“The supporters are our lifeline and they deserve a full explanation on the reasoning for this decision,” he wrote.

“Since I resigned from the Wests Tigers Board we have let Benji Marshall and Adam Blair out of their contracts, sacked the Australian coach in Tim Sheens, sacked Mick Potter and now exiting our local junior and club captain. Is this the culture we want to breed to our young guns coming through?”

Brown’s letter was also sent to NRL chief executive Dave Smith.

Wests Tigers focus on footy again today against the Warriors. Victory could lift Wests Tigers from the bottom of the NRL competition table.

THE NRL has remained remarkably silent over the Wests Tigers’ shabby treatment of club legend Robbie Farah.

Here we have one of the greatest acts of betrayal against a senior player in the game’s recent history at a club the NRL actually controls.

There are now only five directors on the Wests Tigers board — three NRL-appointed independents and two from the Wests Magpies side of the organisation.

Why NRL must act on Tigers
Daily Telegraph Sport Columnist Phil Rothfield

Farah signed a contract in good faith. He has performed well enough in recent years to play State of Origin football and make the Kangaroos squad for last year’s Four Nations.

What more can he do to fulfil his contractual obligations?

Let’s just say if both the coaching staff and administration had performed to the same level as their skipper in recent years, this club wouldn’t be in the diabolical mess it finds itself in.

Surely it’s time for Dave Smith to intervene. Ultimately, he is the one responsible as the major shareholder with the most votes on the board.

Honestly I cannot see what the NRL can do to help Wests Tigers. The club will be expected to pay back any money provided to them by the NRL and this will throw the club even further into debt to the NRL. Maybe with the Under 20's competition become extinct next season the NRL could give Wests Tigers first choice of ex-Under 20's players currently without a club for 2016.
