Oh Boy!!!!! there doing everything they can to oust him .
So is Woods , Tedesco , Brooks etc in for the same treatment ? and have meetings ?
What a joke of a Club .
HE HAS A CONTRACT AND IS MAYBE NOT BOTHERED PLAYING RESERVE GRADE IF IT CAME TO IT.
If there not going to pay him out in December if he fails to impress JT with his training program they should learn to zip it…...cause the Club will look like fools if Farah kills it in Reserve Grade .
Farah ain't going anywhere , at 32 i dare say he would hardly be bothered with what the Club are trying to do . He will go to the Super League in 2 years time anyway.
The Statement we should be hearing IMO is : Today the Club and the Farah Camp have come to a compromise to terminate his Contract for the 2017 Season and will play out his final year for the Club in 2016 , but NO!!!!! lets see how irritated we can get Farah and make him have a meeting in December and embarrasses his integrity .
All players should be held accountable for performances both on the field and the training paddock…we've seen with the many chances Lodge was given and how that has turned out,,,,.For years we have been calling for this but it has never eventuated ...the Club has gone from one mediocrity to another..... the Blair article..the plethora of players who left the Club and comment that how much more professional their new Club is.....it's about time for accountability not the same acceptance of mediocrity of the past....it is what Pascoe was on about in his first address to members and not just from the players...it has to come from the top of the organisation down to the ball boys...
FWIW...the Farah ultimatum came about from the Farah camp and his lawyer itself requesting more information as to the reasons he was asked to move on and find another Club...Farah clearly now knows where he stands in the Wests Tigers organisation....
You will not get an argument from me in terms of trying to be a more Professional Club , i'm all for
it.
Farah should not escape any special treatment just cause he has been here for 12 years or he is Club Captain , but all the players need to have the same treatment as this could be classified as Bullying and harassment .
I have a Job Appraisal twice a year and get judged on Punctuality , Team effectiveness , Code of Conduct , Confidentiality…..you name it .
These Players should be no different in terms of there Stats , attitude to training , Performance , Behaviour etc and should be held accountable . But unless all these things are stipulated in there Contracts ( subject to playing performance ) the Club can't terminate there Contracts unless things that Robert Lui and Lodge have done .
So lets say Farah fails ? what happens in December ? There is nothing the Club can do , if Farah wants to he can be here the next 2 years in Reserve Grade if it came to that .
The Club should of not said anything about this December thing and left it in house , i was impressed that Pascoe said that Farah has a Contract that the Club will honour......just leave it that , if things can be arranged for him to go elsewhere so be it but this December thing just Muddies things up a bit and the same treatment should be the same with all our Players .
From the beginning the club has said nothing other than we'll honour his contract. Pascoe was merely re-enforcing what had previously been said.
If in December it's decided that Robbie is not a team player and is exerting his deficiencies onto the playing group then Taylor just says, we're better off without you, play train with nsw cup or go to another club.
If he's that much of a bad influence for the culture of our club, then it doesn't matter whether it's a kid coming through the ranks or an aging star, they get moved on.
And interesting that when one of our former ceo's, Longmuir i think, tried to implement a policy of standards and targets he promptly lost the confidence of the playing group and coach who thought it was unreasonable to have standards to be judged against and he lost his job.
From the beginning the Club never said they will honour his Contract , they did everything possible to oust him…..even Pascoe admitted that things are said in the heat of the moment when questioned about Farah playing Reserve Grade , that is admitting that in fact that was said to Robbie.
When Pascoe came into the Club and was looking at the situation with the Farah saga ? he knew he had to extinguish the flame and try and win some fans back if they were to have any chance of getting people to renew there Memberships for next Season , so he said that it will honour his Contract cause in actual fact they have no choice unless they pay him out , he just realized what an Amateurish comment it was ( well i hope he did ) .
For the Club it obviously didn't go to plan hence why Farah will be reporting to pre Season training and for that reason are still making it complicated by indicating a meeting will take place in December.
If you are going to conduct a meeting of appraisal into how Farah has been going up until December ? then all other players must follow suit or you lose all credibility in this processes .
Also you would need to have a Squad of 30 - 35 players starting Pre Season just in case some have failed the meeting in December and need to go to NSW Cup that way when deciding your 25 Squad players there familiar with the Players they have been training with .
In my opinion make no mistake that there doing everything in there power to make it complicated for Farah and force him out of here , but you think he will fail the meeting in December and be pushed to NSW Cup ? I don't think he will.....will look terrible on the Club if he is playing out of his skin in NSW Cup.
Anyway we are all entitled to our opinions on this matter .
Lol, just reading your first sentence shows your bias in the matter. Don't try and make it sound like your speaking objectively when you're reporting your opinion. The club HAS certainly said from the onset they will honour his contract. (and you do realise that the phrase honouring his contract simply means paying him?!) Unless his contract had a requirement that he play NRL which would be extremely rare.
His contract ties him to the club for money. That's it. If he's not playing well, injured, or being disruptive he can be dropped just like anyone.
And if no-one else has demonstrated any behavioural issues then why would they need to be brought in for an additional meeting, on top of the one when they first report to pre-season training?
We don't know exactly what Robbie's been doing, but if he cuts the crap out, swallows his ego and just get's down to training bloody hard, listening to his coach and playing footy then he'll be with us in 2016.

Your last sentence is a bit contradictory BB. Since "We don't know exactly what Robbie's been doing" tell us what BS he should cut out, and what do you know about his ego? And as for your suggestion that he should train hard like he doesn't allready? From all reports over his time at WT he's been known as a very good , hard trainer. As for listening to the coach? Where is the proof he isn't? Just asking in case you know something we don't.
