Seems for some, any leaked information that defames Farah is ok and can be used against him ( ie Tallis), but any information leaked that suggests he has been treated poorly is not and should be disregarded ( i.e.Ayoub). As I recall the impact of Tallis' accusations after coming off a great win against the Dogs, resulted in our season nosediving. If you are going to bag Ayoub for having an agenda, Tallis is sitting right there beside him as far as Im concerned.

I think our season nosedived not as a result of tallis' accusations but farahs reaction.

Can't an elite player say something privately to another elite player and expect it to be kept confidential? Knowing the uproar it would create certainly an experienced commentator should have thought twice before publicising the comment and breaking confidentially. Normally journalists will even go to prison to keep their sources of info confidential.

I don't know what Ayoub saId but the club management should have complained to the TV station concerned and certainly should have stated Farah's supportive views re Potter on their website.

Could it be considered as Tallis wanting to be a hero to his ex coach at someone else's expense?

They weren't talking about something personal or confidential, they were chatting about an opinion… On this occasion, Farah was discussing something he shouldn't be.

As a leader/senior contributor to the Wests Tigers structure, these type of opinions are divisive!

Now we have a part of our fan base convinced because of that very information, that Farah is responsible for Potter not being re hired. Wouldnt matter what Farah says - to some he is guilty, even though to date in every club including our own the CEO and the board makes those decisions.
Information being leaked is largely responsible for how we all shape our opinions - dont kid yourselves that if you are not a fan of Farah, any negative leaked information regardless of who and where it comes from will be used against him. You cant bag Ayoub one minute for leaking information supporting Farah because you dont want to hear it, but at the same time listen to other leaked information that defames Farah because it supports what you believe.

it's not a matter of opinion whether farah will be no.9 come rd 1\. he will be there if he's still with us. i don't think you or anyone is actually stupid enough to think that robbie will be in reserve grade. nothing interesting about that, maybe milky can make it more interesting

So the fact he is still here is enough to suggest he'll line up in round 1\. Not the fact we've asked him to look elsewhere, he's been told he'll play in reserve grade, he's kicking up a stink in the media and threatening to air dirty laundry about the club and to top it all off, signing of another first grade hooker for the remainder of Farah's contract period here suggests otherwise that he'll line up in round 1?

He said it to someone in the media… Would you have had the same opinion if he said it to James Hooper or Phil Rothfield?

It is the height of stupidity, all media personalities have their own agenda and will leak whatever they can to put themselves in the spotlight, especially if it's juicy. Farah should have known that.

I agree with you there. The difference is, aside from being told he is not wanted, what else is substantiated? Where's this dossier of corroborated evidence of systematic wrongdoings within the club? Ayoub said he'd blow the lid off it all and nothing has come of it.

That's absolutely right. Using leaked info from Tallis as a guide while bagging Robbie for the same thing is playing the game by tainted rules.

Tallis was a knob for taking what Robbie said & releasing it to the public.

And like you say- the board made the decision to not renew Potter's contract, not Robbie. So the board has the ultimate responsibillity in that decision.

Where Robbie does have some guilt is in telling Tallis in the first place. Yes, it shouldn't have gone further than that, but it was a BAD decision that no matter which way you slice it, had some influence on Potter's control of the club. It was a terminal mistake for Potter's coaching future at the Tigers. Did Robbie MEAN for it to happen? Probably not. But the fact is, that leak DID come from Robbie.

As a message board, we have often moaned about the continual leaks from within. And right there is a face to put to the leak. I can absolve Robbie of what Tallis did with the 'leak', but as the club captain, a man that was the face of the club- putting the knife into your coach to people OUTSIDE the organisation is a BAD look. And a bad characteristic for a senior player.

I think the fact that he's better than the other two hookers that we have is enough reason that he'll line up. Even Taylor isn't dumb enough , or vindictive enough to leave him out.

and if the coach's reason to drop the incumbent NSW hooker and VC for a dozen game rookie and a manly reserve grader is that "i don't like him", then there is something seriously wrong with the coach.

i thought ink was at least half basing it on that farah's abilities have declined, but "abilities mean nothing" and if they're gonna pick a hooker on reputation, it will be farah.
