Parra made a similar call on Daniel Anderson when he fell out with Jarryd Hayne. Maybe ceo has read the public reaction,seen the power Robbie has within the media and will toss Taylor out. Elite players have a way of winning these battles,whether their right or wrong

Then you clearly don't read any of these posts. Starting your post off with this was rather irrelevant as it was a only a segway you could use to throw a jab. I will maintain that you are an extremely naive individual if you still believe Farah will be here after voluntarily asking the club for a release.

The only way I see Farah in Wests Tigers colours next year is if Taylor gets sacked as a Coach, the only reason I say that is I'm sure everyone was lead to believe that things were slowly getting sorted between JT and Farah? But obviously Farah deep down was just being Professional going to training, give up his Captaincy, played the right tunes while things were happening in the background.
Obviously Farah doesn't want to be here if Taylor is here and the Ballin signing was the tip of the ice berg IMO.

Wow good luck selling Memberships, this seems a long way off being resolved and it's gotten very personal.

Speaking of memberships , do you fancy going halves in one of those Wests Tigers memberships?
I've heard their an Awsome team to watch live !

Does the package stipulate which games Taylorball would be used?

In the statement the club was specific in saying they wouldn't do anything that would risk putting themselves in further financial strain. I don't think that means they then turn around and sack their coach and all of a sudden have to pay him out 2 yrs worth of his contract, PLUS pay a new coach on top of that. All you JT death riders feel free to maintain that fantasy though.

He is safe until April. Go and the board and JT will be sacked when Balmain has to front with the cash. The club won't lose brooks and Moses to retain Taylor. It should happen earlier but it won't as our executive team won't admit they are an abject failure.

Who's gonna sack the board? Western suburbs?

Whoever, puts the cash in or takes control. It may be Weasts, Harry T who knows.

I like how many people with revisionist history are now blaming Robbie for back stabbing Sheens. When the fact was he was there for 10 years and most fans were delighted to see him go by the end of it.

Geo's not that keen , he said he'll need an additional membership due to his frame and happys broke as always ( he was cleaning windscreens on the highway last week)…. Up to you .. Let me know ?!

How can you be so sure 'they' will sack taylor etc when you don't even know so'they' are?

Why Robbie Farah may not have played his last game for Wests Tigers

Robbie Farah's proposed move to Sydney Roosters is likely to be dependant on the NSW Origin hooker accepting a one-year deal heavily subsidised by Wests Tigers that could even enable him to return to the club if Jason Taylor is no longer coach.

While the Roosters have emerged as shock favourites for Farah's services after he formally requested a release from the Tigers on Friday night, negotiations to resolve his future have taken another twist with revelations the parties were in discussions about a role with the club after retirement.

Whether Farah has played his last game for the Tigers is likely to depend on the size of the payout he can secure for the remaining two years of his contract, worth $1.9 million, and the future of Taylor, whose relationship with his former captain now appears untenable.

If the Tigers are prepared to pay Farah the majority of his contract money, he could sign with the Roosters for next season on a deal worth as little as $80,000 - the NRL's minimum wage.

With co-captain Jake Friend considered the heir apparent to Cameron Smith as the Queensland Origin hooker, the Roosters have no obvious need for Farah but if coach Trent Robinson can get a player of his calibre on a cheap deal he would be unlikely to say no.

Robinson has signed a back-up to Friend on a minimum wage contract in each of his three seasons at the helm of the Roosters - Nafe Seluini in 2013, Heath L'Estrange in 2014 and Matt Mcllwrick this year - and while Farah is obviously in a different class, his price tag may be similar if the Tigers agree to a large pay-out.

There are even suggestions that Friend could move to the backrow while Farah plays hooker if both were at the Roosters next season but talks are not yet that advanced and most at the club, including the players, were taken by surprise when news of the possible move broke on Saturday.

A one-year deal would create the possibility of Farah returning to the Tigers if there was a change of coach or playing out his career in Super League.

Farah and his agent Sam Ayoub met with Tigers chief executive Justin Pascoe on Sunday to discuss his request for a release from the remaining two years of his contract.

The Tigers are understood to have also proposed a revised contract for Farah that contained certain conditions he was required to meet but would include a role beyond his playing career.

"We will continue to work closely with Robbie and his management to come up with an agreement that meets the needs of both parties," Pascoe said in a statement on Sunday night. "Robbie still has two years left on his playing contract with Wests Tigers and at this stage remains a part of the club's plans for the 2016 season.

"We are looking at a number of options with Robbie, including what role he may play with Wests Tigers once he finishes his playing career. Robbie is approaching 250 games with Wests Tigers and any club would be open to having a player of that experience involved in an Ambassador role after their retirement.

"We are committed to building a successful and sustainable Wests Tigers both on and off the field and this will be taken into account when a decision regarding Robbie's future with the club is made."

The stunning development, which would save the Tigers from having to fund a huge pay-out, comes just days after Taylor moved to publicly "clear the air" about Farah's standing at the club next season by declaring he would be considered on his merits and was likely to start in round one.

Taylor had previously urged Farah to find another club but the Blues vice-captain had maintained he was going to stay put - until last Friday night.

Besides a release to play elsewhere next season, Farah wants $400,000 up front that he is owed from deferred contract payments plus the remainder of his deal paid out in full.

The move was so unexpected that Pascoe had to rush back to Sydney from a family holiday to meet with Farah and Ayoub on Sunday.

Ayoub said further talks would follow.

"It was a good little catch up but there is still more work to do," Ayoub said. "These things can take a day, they can take a month.

"At the moment we have got a process to go through and from my end I will be doing it as discreetly as possible. I can't speak for others but I certainly will be handling it that way."

Strange I've only ever heard Robbie say he has never had a problem working with Taylor,,,,,

Hope your right, from the Tiger fans I know they have other interest to follow than watching us lose every week.

People pay to be entertained and if they feel there not getting that value for money? So be it.
